The first time I've listened to Weird Al song was when I saw Spy Hard at the cinema. Little did I knew back then that this song was from such a famous humoristic artist.
I know Vevo would never do this, but they should add a couple annotations to this video to replace the missing opening credits. I believe at the beginning he slaps the title. I've read a few of Fleming's JAMES BOND novels. The movies allegedly based on them bore almost no resemblance. In fact, I'd say the movies were as much a parody of Fleming's work as SPY HARD was a parody of the Bond films. Later, Fleming wrote the screenplays first, and then the novels, basing the books on the films. Even if he was still alive, I seriously doubt that Fleming could possibly care less - other than to protect his copyrights.

I believe at the beginning he slaps the title. And near the end he is surprised to see his own credit, and gives a nod. Two gags that fall by the wayside, as this is the version without the credits, from the Weird Al video collection DVD.

I've read a few of Fleming's JAMES BOND novels. The movies allegedly based on them bore almost no resemblance. In fact, I'd say the movies were as much a parody of Fleming's work as SPY HARD was a parody of the Bond films.
Later, Fleming wrote the screenplays first, and then the novels, basing the books on the films. Even if he was still alive, I seriously doubt that Fleming could possibly care less - other than to protect his copyrights.
This should be the intro to the next bond movie.
