So excited about this unit I’m using it as the spine to my 5th graders cooking curriculum next year.
This looks really fun, my oldest loves to cook and loves cookbooks!!!
@@HomeSweetHomeschoolLife Ashlea, could I get by with one copy of this and read from it as a family and do with my older two boys or do each of them need a book?
You totally could. I believe it is designed that everyone has their own notebook, but I just print one for my son and read out of it.
That’s going to be so fun!
I just watched this and your gather round career study flip through! I am totally buying this unit for my daughter who is interested in cooking this looks like so much fun! Excited to try out a new curriculum!
Oh cooking how sweet!!!
This is so awesome! I definitely want to try this unit! Thank you for sharing! ❤
My Pro click and HP printer have been the best investments to my homeschool! I love printing my own workbooks from GR. I haven't tried the campfire curriculum yet but they have some amazing units that I look forward to getting. Thanks for the look through!
This sounds like a wonderful study!! I know my kids want to learning more about cooking. Thank you so much for sharing about all of this!
Yay I’m so excited for this ! Can’t wait to start it ... we are thinking Fridays & Saturdays ☺️👍🏼
That would be a good day to do them. We are doing it every Wednesday.
This looks so great. Definitely on my list to do this coming year. Has your son watched Jamie Oliver, another British chef who has wonderful recipes. He has a UA-cam channel as well as tv series. Even his young son does videos on simple but delicious food kids can make. I particularly loved JO'S series a couple of years ago when he had a large garden and he used what he grew in his kitchen. Totally brilliant and way less bad language.
I always love your flip throughs of curriculum. it's nice to see how it looks all bounded together.
I have a question about the pro click...it says 6sheet but clearly thats more than 6 sheets. Do you have a video on how to use it? I have never used anything like this before and I am interested in investing in one.
thanks!
I don’t have a video, but it is very easy to use. I have found that it’s best to only punch about 3 pages at a time. Once you get the hang of it, it goes surprisingly fast.
Here is a binding video that might be helpful: ua-cam.com/video/1ujjx3avdfs/v-deo.html
How long generally does it take you to go through one of these Campfire Curriculum units? Do you ever do them alone or always along side a Gather Round unit?
We have done them both ways. It takes us a while because we only do around 1 lesson a week.
How do you store your units when you’re finished?
I have a container that I keep in my closet. I tuck them away in there throughout the year, then at the end of the year I take them to my storage in the basement.
Looks fun! I agree butter makes everything better!
It sure does!
