Taking on the quest of landing world first tricks requires a hefty dose of creativity. In episode two of Design & Conquer, Matt and Jono Jones travel north to Scotland to seek help from a rider who knows a thing or two about getting creative on two wheels. @KrissKyle is a BMX legend whose track record for pushing the limits of the sport is second to none. After a fun session in Unit 23 the boys decide to ignore the winter weather and shred the famous Innerleithen trails.

It’s really neat to see b-hops from a freerider, a downhill racer, and a BMXer all in a row. You can see that Kriss’ b-hops are so much more controlled, and steezy from all those years at the skatepark, While Jono barely get of the ground.

Looking at Kriss riding just pops a question to my mind. At what age does one stop doing that? Like, surely at 60 or what not you're just going to look at the bowls and transfers and wall rides and go "Yeah, not for me, leave that to the kids." Or do you? The body will eventually not work like it used to, but I'm thinking more of the mind, do you just wake up one day and be, not maybe scared, but so cautious that you just decide to go on a mellow ride on fire roads rather than hit jumps and tricks? This goes to dirt jumpers and slopestyle riders as well, obviously. It will be interesting to see how long this generation of riders can go, being that they grew up on bikes and are somewhat accustomed to doing really insane stunts and jumps.
