This started in right after WW2 actually when a certain general at the behest of the DEMOCRAT PARTY pushed into China from Korea when the rest of the country and the majority of the army wanted to leave. The fact that aid is dropped in North Korea today is lost on a lot of people. Especially since the government keeps a lot of it and whenever it is found out about their media spins it as their great leader being such a great diplomat that he was able to talk other nations into giving them free stuff because he is so awesome and amazing etc. It's rather sad really. Despite being given aid they are still collapsing. Welcome to socialism. A fellow North Korean defector made a UA-cam video discussing the events that most likely took place before she was kidnapped. Almost all North Korean defectors send money to their families through Chinese brokers, sometimes the same ones who smuggled them into south Korea. The secret police the north set up to kidnap defectors would have used the same brokers to lure her into China, most likely by saying there was a problem with transfering her money to her family and she must come to China to pick the money up. They would then kidnap her. She would not want to reveal she is illegally smuggling money into the north. Her kindness and love is what led to her demise, but it is her triumph and courage that will outlive the pain. I hope she is in a better place now.

"Seoul was considered safe as North Korea had no reach?" If North Korea are happy to snatch people from Japanese beaches and are known to tunnel under the DMZ, it's more than likely a 'South Korean Policeman' arrived at her door under the pretext of 'wanting to talk about the alleged videos' and incapacitated her. A few of his buddies then rocked up to her apartment and carried her downstairs to a vehicle and driven to one of these tunnels.
lol my thoughts exactly. Like seriously you dont think they could have send people there or bribed policemen? its so obvious they kidnapped her or blackmailed her. If anyone actually believes the "interview" she had they are fucking braindead
@Richard Lin There are a couple of problems with that. Defectors already speak of a feeling of isolation following defection - if you move them to a country which has no cultural or linguistic links to Korea, then it furthers the feeling of isolation (like the case of a Tibetan that joined the British army Gurkhas. Being Tibetan, he shared little in the way of culture and barely spoke Nepalese. In Kathmandu he could survive, however, when he arrived in the UK for his training, he suffered from loneliness and depression. Luckily one of the Gurkha sergeant majors had a remedy - he approached the commanding officer and pointed out that the Tibetan had been a yak herd before joining up And luckily, nearby the barracks was a farm with Scottish highland cattle - big hairy ginger cattle - and they kinda looked like yaks. The Sergeant arranged for the Tibetan to spend several hours a week helping at the farm to assist during the Tibetans assimilation. It worked, the Tibetan soldiers performance increased and he became far happier.) Another problem is the North Koreans would have little difficulty finding locals to do their dirty work. (You'd be surprised what the promise of drugs, money or guns can get you.) You've also got the issue of it's easier to hide someone in a crowd. And of course, you've no idea if this defector is a double agent, and if some country executes some 'hit squad' it wouldn't be too difficult for this double agent to drop a batch of nerve agent into a local reservoir, school or army barracks. Not a smart idea.
@@efnissien she went from North Korea to South Korea -no language change and barely any culture change. There's barely a difference except for that you have more freedom and opportunity to make money in South Korea.
@@zombietrash416 I was referring to Richard Lin's reply about putting defectors into a third country. Yep, on the whole the cultural and linguistic similarities allow a northen snatch squad to (as Chinese tactician Sun Tzu describes it) swim through the population as easily as a fish swims through water. But there are some cultural differences - until the 1980's the economy of both Korea's was broadly similar. However, differences have emerged, freedom of speech and association. Of Wealth and the consumerist culture. I'm sure that someone from the North is overwhelmed with the bright lights, the noise, the traffic and the access to media. While members of a snatch squad would be trained to ignore this - for a defector it would be initially terrifyingly disorienting. It was the same with Germany... ostensibly both were the same. But, defectors from east to west always spoke of the differences in language and other subtle cultural differences.
They're power hungry tyrants. Better watch our Western leaders like a hawk to avoid the same fate. As they say, "If we don't learn from history, we're doomed to repeat it over and over again."
Maybe question that. Because it's basically all easily debunked. There's a reason for the "Juche Necromancy" meme--every time someone isn't in a group photo in the DPRK, one South Korean far-right tabloid speculates that the person was executed. This gets picked up by Radio Free Asia, the new organization openly and publicly funded by the CIA. Then it gets picked up by other Western outlets and spread around as fact. Then the person appears in a different photo, and one or two media outlets publish the world's smallest retraction before blaming their lack of basic journalism on "North Korea's secrecy!" Also consider the fact that Yeon Mi Park has gone from saying that she was not super well-off in North Korea to saying that they are forced to eat grass, to saying that there are 3 generation punishments, to saying that there is no such thing as ice cream in North Korea, to saying that there's no word for "friend" in North Korea, to saying that there are actually 20 generation punishments. And she's now discussing this on Jordan Peterson's grifter daughter's podcast. The North is poor, but if you want a realistic view of it, the people both in North Korea and in the South and their struggles with the war, with poverty, and with government surveillance, watch "Loyal Citizens of Pyongyang in Seoul" here on UA-cam.

I've been watching dark youtube content like this for quite some time now, but of all the stories and things I've heard, this has got to be one of the most heartbreaking of all. When he said that one night she disappeared from her apartment seemingly out of the blue I was on the verge of tears ngl. It had been such a wonderful story where she had found peace and fulfillment by doing what she did best, being charming and fun. I don't want to cause an argument (because I know that the slightest mention of religion/God/spirituality can cause a flame war), but a few months back in 2020, I got into an argument in a UA-cam reply section with a communist about religion, and in that argument, he not only said that people of every religion should be executed in brutal ways and tortured, that they should have their religious material and expression limited and even taken from them, that everyone (whether they're religious or not)should have their privacy and homes bugged and monitered to see if they're being religious, but that children above the age of 5 should be used as spies to see if their parents are being religious or not (and if they refuse, they should be tortured, abused, etc), and actually defended North Korea and China, calling them "communist successes". Needless to say, the guy was (and is) an immoral and f**ed up scumbag, and has no business being near children or politics. Edit: Sorry for the long comment and ranting.

@@dedg0st Uhh no. That isn't what happened at all. This started in right after WW2 actually when a certain general at the behest of the DEMOCRAT PARTY pushed into China from Korea when the rest of the country and the majority of the army wanted to leave. The result was China and America fighting a brutal war in Korea that resulted in a line being drawn in the sand as it were and China creating a puppet in the north half of Korea while banning trade with America.

@@efnissien dunno what you said, all I know is corruption is more powerful than isolation.
The parallels between George Orwell's 1984 and this story is just horrifying.
I've heard a lot of terrifying things but what I learn about the North Korean government shakes me to my core.

Then the person appears in a different photo, and one or two media outlets publish the world's smallest retraction before blaming their lack of basic journalism on "North Korea's secrecy!"
Also consider the fact that Yeon Mi Park has gone from saying that she was not super well-off in North Korea to saying that they are forced to eat grass, to saying that there are 3 generation punishments, to saying that there is no such thing as ice cream in North Korea, to saying that there's no word for "friend" in North Korea, to saying that there are actually 20 generation punishments. And she's now discussing this on Jordan Peterson's grifter daughter's podcast.

Things like this just make me feel like WWIII is just going to start out of no where. This is so sad it sucks that we cant really do anything.
We were doing something - then the DC swamp and their cronies took over. Biden called the genocide the CCP inflicts on Muslims "culturally different norms." I guess "harvesting" people alive for their organs falls under that same twisted veil.
@@Peace-lr7mt Let's be real, Trump won't be able to change anything either. Your President is just a face. The real 'rulers' are the ones you will never hear about.
Why? I don't think china would put all of it's resources on the line to save NK if anything happened. The little fat boy thinks he has more power than he actually does.
WW3 will probably be a Left vs Right war. Communism vs Capitalism. The very last battle between two ideological rivals.
Everyone’s weapons technology is so advanced now that I think it’ll keep everyone in a stalemate. No one wants their country blown off the map. If WWIII were to occur I think it would look very different from traditional fighting. Probably biowarfare and things of the like.

For this video in particular I found it difficult to determine which part is narrated so good that it makes your skin crowl, but in my opinion it's from 9:17 - 10:48. This 1 minute is just horrifying.
Yeah true
I've been watching dark youtube content like this for quite some time now, but of all the stories and things I've heard, this has got to be one of the most heartbreaking of all. When he said that one night she disappeared from her apartment seemingly out of the blue I was on the verge of tears ngl. It had been such a wonderful story where she had found peace and fulfillment by doing what she did best, being charming and fun. She even stated that she had never been happier and that she was so thankful for being in the position she was. To then be suddenly taken back to the nightmare she had escaped from is really living proof that fact can be more brutal than fiction.

I was just thinking that. I imagine that while she understood daily tragedy and horror she was probably very naive in a way that someone who doesn't have a ton of life experience and was finally experiencing true freedom is. I wish she would've had a mentor or someone warning her that she was not safe. She may not have understood the depth of depravity North Korea goes to to keep their dictatorship intact. There's another woman who escaped and went either to the UK or here to the US who did a show recently describing just how bad they treat a huge percentage of their population.

I agree. I don't believe she was tricked, I believe her family were threatened and she had a crisis of conscience and was left with no choice.
Its common for defector's families to be killed when someone from it escapes. Its to help prevent people from thinking of escaping because it would put their whole family's lives on the line.

And to think people living outside North Korea are defending and denying everything wrong happening there makes me sick.
Same.

She is also a stupid woman who loves fame!
For me, any defectors who love to expose North Korea just for fame I wouldn't feel sorry for them when they are captured.
That woman I saw her videos, and she is constantly making random videos of suffering in NK, even though she only lived there for 20 odd years.
Still she constantly make new videos about tortures in NK, which means she is doing it for fame and attention and bullsh*ing
@@xin0 sounds like something a north korean would say

Tell me, if you lived in NK for 20yrs, you would have experienced hell.
When you arrive in SK and you start exposing all your experiences, wouldn't you say everything? Yes.
So tell me, how can you after exposing everything, then few years down the line you start saying experiences you face in NK?
It is bull, and she is clearly doing it for fame and money!
She has a UA-cam page, and for each million views and subscribers you get, you get paid. So that is why she constantly upload bullsh about NK, just to get views.
I knew that there were defectors, but honestly, I’ve never given them any more thought. This is so horrible. I can only wish she’s safe, though I know she’s no longer with us. There needs to be more spotlight on survivors, but with what can happen if they know your location, I don’t blame them for wanting to stay in the shadows and live life as safely as possible.
This breaks my heart. If she’s truly passed on, hopefully she’s in a better place than she was.
First thing she should do is never exposed herself on the media. 😢

UA-camrs a week later: "The case of a missing UA-camr, Nick Crowley"
Well I mean he hasn't uploaded------

lets think about this for a second. idk alot about nick, but im going to assume he lives in america. if he was to go missing, and people found him on north korean interview shows, or we just gained enough evidence to put a spotlight on north korea for nicks disappearance, what would that mean? most likely, america would have started war against north korea, because that would mean north korea is literally sending people to kidnap americans from their own country! i mean, america wouldnt just sit back and say "i dont like this but oh well i guess they can do that". if not war, then most likely get more strict coming to security.

I'm betting on the attempt to save her family being what got her. There's no way she could be living this great life and not feel the burden of knowing her family was suffering every day. If I was in her shoes I'd probably go back to save my family. My death vs the deaths of all my family? What a fucked up choice to make
What if you knew almost for sure that your family would not be spared anyway? NK would never honor a deal like that once they have her.
No. All the defectors knows since their birth that their entire 3 generation will be suffering in prison camp. Just for attempting escape either successful or failed attempts.
All the north Korean defectors you see, remember their 3 generation are in camp.
You know this and still making escape. Some stay strong for life, other broke thinking about family.
It worst possible choice to do
dude NK doesnt give a shit about either of them. they either kidnapped her or blackmailed her with her family. Either way they are all gonna die. Human life means nothing to them
@@saurabhshrigadi Apparently Kim Jong Un scrapped this policy, at least for a short while. He was seemingly concerned about the general situation in North Korea being so bad that keeping that policy going would antagonise people too much and cause issue for the regime, especially given his own security forces assigned to deal with it are also starving and barely managing. He also knows how much illegal contact with the outside world his people actually have, they're not stupid and many know exactly what's going on.
So he loosened it up to take the heat out of the situation. Whether it's been reinstated I don't know.
No problem with that is then you and your family would be in the concentration camp they wouldn't set them free they would say you free either you'd all be in the same position you're in it's just you would be with them and if they're a real mother and father they would sacrifice their life for you to have a better one I know I would
