  • Game room scoreboard that I made for my game room. The scoreboard runs on 8 AA batteries or can be plugged into the wall using a 12v adapter. The scoreboard is portable and can be used for pool/billiards, ping pong/table tennis, cornhole, fooseball, air hockey, etc.
    Items that I used:
    CanaKit CK214 2 Digit XL Up/Down Counter Kit (x2)
6 channel RF remote control kit
    11x14 Shadowbox
    Foamboard
    Stickers
    4 "AA" Battery Holder (x2)
    On/Off Rocker Switch

I saw that scoreboard when I was looking for scoreboards for my gameroom, but I felt that it drew too much attention. Pricewise, my scoreboard was slightly cheaper. But if someone isn't interested in a DIY project, I could see why they would opt for the SNT-120G.

The first step is going to be to get (2x) CanaKit CK214 Up/Down Counters and the 6 channel RF remote control kit ordered. The 6 channel RF remote control kit will run you approx. $20. The Up/Down Counters will run anywhere from $50 (unassembled) to $70 (assembled) each. If you order the unassembled kit, it will probably take you a couple of hours to solder each of the components onto the circuit board. If you are still interested, place your orders and let me know. Check Amazon and Ebay.

Hopefully this helps anyone interested in making a similar scoreboard. I took a picture of the back of the scoreboard and also made a schematic of the connections.

Google "SNT-120G Gameroom Scoreboard" to see a full-function wireless scoreboard that also works as a real alarm clock with month and date

Hello Sir I had a question on how to make this scoreboard. I am confused how the RF remote kit connects to the CanaKit up/down counter. If u could tell me how to do that that would be great. And can u give me a link on where to find the remote control kit. (I can't find it)

Thanks Shane. The RF remote kit has leads that you solder to the button connections of the CanaKit up/down counter. If you take a look at the RF remote kit and its instructions, you'll see how simple it is. Try searching UA-cam for 'RF wireless transmitter'. I bought my transmitter from eBay, but I'm sure that you can find it other places as well. You may even be able to pick one up from a local electronics hobby shop. You can daisy chain the battery holder so that you don't have to use one for both counters and the rf transmitter. I've connected an A/C adapter to the scoreboard because I was going through batteries every couple of days. I hope this helped. make another comment if you get stuck and I'll do my best to help you out.

mlbrown76 Thank you for the info. What does it mean to daisy chain them?

Check out the complete description from my video. It is made out of a 11x14 Shadowbox.

It isn't that hard to build yourself. If you factored in my time and labor, you'd be better off buying a pre-built scoreboard.
