I have a question what are the best puma shoes for running ? I figured you’d have a better answer but if you don’t know that’s fine just thought I’d ask no harm and asking. Also I am a guy that wears puma shoes lots and girls and guy shoes but more girls shoes.
At first, I thought that cutting shoes are disrepectful but once you hear the scientific explanation of the design and construction of modern day performance shoes it is worth it.
I found these shoes to be incredibly comfortable, these and the puma Clyde All pro are the 2 Puma BB shoes worth getting and they are both at or below $130. Not only are these shoes incredibly comfortable I believe they are a better value from anything else in that price range. You can get both for $260 retail and once the MBs go on sale your probably able to get both closer to $200. I believe Puma has surpassed Adidas very easily and with these 2 shoes is firmly in the #3 spot behind Nike and JB in the Western Hemisphere. I have huge expectations for the Harden Vol 6 this year. 1 Thing Puma did with both shoes is put a very thick insole in both shoes which made the step in comfort blow anything Adidas offers out of the water, they have the worst paper thin insoles. I do wish Zach would touch on the quality of the insoles and give us measurements and density / quality ratings. Thank you Zach I love your surgical scientific approach to your reviews. 👏
👍👍👍thank you glad you are getting something out of the videos - I usually ignore them just because it’s so easy to replace them and most except for a few exceptions are the same run of the mill material
I felt the forefoot cushioning in clyde all pro is very less, it started hurting my midfoot after only 10 or so minutes. I am not sure if that was due to size issue or the low cushioning in forefoot. Some insight into this matter will be really helpful
@@bhavyasinghal1949 The majority of BB shoes have a lower forefoot to give court feel mobility and lessen the delay from the compression response. I didn’t have any issues with the forefoot impact protection from that shoe however if your fit is not right and the shoe is squeezing and reducing blow flow in your feet that’s going to naturally lead to swelling. I would advise you to loosen the shoe as much as possible and try switching the insoles to a higher quality polyurethane material a that is the only thing I can think of for you to do. I would suggest for you to look into shoes built for big men, as they all tend to have excellent forefoot cushioning impact protection. The Clyde All Pro is very much built like a Kobe shoe intended for quick twitchy guard play. If you want forefoot impact protection get something made for a front court player, if you are a wide footer stay clear of the KDs as they have great forefoot impact protection but are very narrow fitting. Lebrons shoes from the 15 on up to the current 19 all have excellent forefoot cushioning impact protection. I would suggest the Lebron 18 as it’s now on sale and I believe is actually better than the 19.
Just came across this channel, by far the best basketball shoe reviews I've seen! Love the attention to detail including info that is very hard to find in other performance reviews, such as: 1. The teardown aspect (I want to know the heel-drop and general shape of the midsole) 2. Jump test and discussion of energy return 3. The way you talk about traction / court-grip Please keep putting these out! I'll be watching for new releases as I decide which shoes to buy within the next few months.
I know they are almost 1 year old. But they say the Puma Clyde All Pro are one of the best basketball shoes from 2020-2021. Could you make a teardown of them? 🙏🏼
These just sold me on a pair. I hoop in D Rose 3/3.5, 4/4.5, 6. Nike Zoom GT Jump, LeBron 5 Witness and Adidas N3XT L3V3L. Few more but can’t think. I enjoy the lower shoes as I like to run PG being 6’2, but appreciate the support of the high tops even though I’m a leaper. Was going to get the Kyrie 4 Low, but after some videos and this review. I’m going to give these a go in the Galaxy color way. I’ve had LeBron lows(love zoom), but, I have the GT Jumps so I’m good. Time to see the Hype with Puma. Thanks for your review. Added. If you like a low show with crazy bite, snag the Adidas Rose 4/4.5. Shoes are amazing. I have about 5 pairs. A true PG shoe and extremely light with some support that doesn’t restrict movement. Weird, but it works. Cheers.
Thank you for the informative video! Love this shoe, (nice to now understand why), I was a KD 14 faithful but had to get this one. Will definitely be in my rotation going forward and also going to get the black pair whenever that releases.
These have very little impact protection my knees hurt after playing in these for a week had to switch back to my li Nings and my knees felt better instantly
Zach what basket shoes would you advice for large wide feet , painfull flat foot heavy player (130kg). Got the dame 8 wich are great but want another pair to switch to minimize tears and wears. Love your work.
Thank you for all of this valuable information! I decided to wait for a different colourway, but otherwise these have basically everything I want out of a performance sneaker.
Which of these shoes the Irving 8, the Kawhi 2 and the MB.01 would you recommend me to play on asphalt courts and outdoors that are durable and have a good grip because I am a player who makes a lot of speed changes
For whatever reason, I really did not connect with these shoes...they felt really slow, heavy, and sluggish on my foot. Looking for something more light, quick, and responsive!
Mannnn, I'm stuck. I recently started playing basketball and it's so fun. With that being said, I have a good idea of what my play style consists of. Like in every other sport I play, I rely heavily on my speed and my cutting abilities. I've been watching SoleBrother's and your channel on a BUNCH of different basketball shoes and I've narrowed it down to a few, but I'm still stuck. An easy pick for me would be the Kyrie 8's but I play mostly on outdoor courts and I don't plan on buying a new pair of basketball shoes frequently; the Kyrie 8's are literally my playstyle, but the durability and longevity of the shoe kill it for me. The next pair would be the curry 9's, but the durability on those aren't too good either, AND I play mostly outside so the dust would be a problem as well. The shoes I have in mind right now are the curry 9's, Kawhi 2's, and the MB.01's. What shoe would you recommend? p.s., I have seen your vids on all shoes mentioned and I'm still stuck!
Zach, thanks for yet another great video! Believe it or nor, but I was really interested to know more about shoes that put you in a more flat foot position since the latest shoes I got were Nike PG 5, and that's exactly what they do. Being a relatively flat footed person I was a bit worried in the beginning, but it seems fine. so, do you believe this foot position can be helpful in improving my jumping force?
I really appreciate how your really passionate to explain the whole shoe that's why I follow you(Great Job Dr. Zach) (Merry Christmas ⛄🎄) Please do a review of the Klay Thompson ANTA #7 or New Balance Kawhi 1 this is a bad boys too.... Thank You ....
That is for the video Zach, would these be a good shoe for outdoor tennis as well? If not, which basketball shoes would you recommend for tennis use as well, with durability in mind
Zach could you do the Nike PG5? I have a weak right ankle. Seems the only 2 shoes that I have not rolled my ankle in are the lebron 17 low and the Nike PG1. The lebron keeps my anxiety pretty high though I always feel like I’m gonna roll.
Your not suppose to use new gym shoes on blacktop if that’s your complaint about the shoe that it won’t last on outside courts then use a cheaper pair of basket ball shoes get dames or pg 6
@@FootDoctorZach my orthotics have an extrinsic heel post as you described in your video. Do you generally recommend sizing up a half size for these types of orthotics?

Is the mb1 is good for outdoor

Would this be a good shoe for a tennis player?
I saw you were serving, how are they for tennis players? I burn holes in Alot of tennis shoes uppers/ toecap before the bottom.
The plastic x pattern on the rear is a cage for the foam, changing the foam so it doesn't flatten out as much in theory
