Μπράβο σας παιδιά. Είστε η Ελπίδα μας !
Yes, I agree with those who say that song, and indeed many Greek songs, are influenced by the Turkish musical tradition. That tradition also influenced the Arabic tradition. But the Greeks seem to be also quite inventive in that they add to what they take, like that by Sabah Fakhri, a Syrian -- and they made it even more beautiful.
I wish our Greek artists give us English translations of these beautiful songs, which also sound to me like Babylonian/Iraqi religious hymns or songs in praise of the Almighty.
Dear Victor Sasson. Your comments are totally correct. I really appreciate your knowledge on the subject. So upon your request As a gift, I will type the English translation copied from elsewhere if I am not wrong by "Anastasia Fergadioti".

Thank you very much for the information you have given me.
@victorsasson1911
These songs have nothing to do with religion, they are songs related to everyday life, love, problems and other things, but nothing about religion or God.
@victorsasson1911 can you prove that the greeks were influenced by the Turkish tradition and that they were not the ones that along with the Arabs and the Armenians shaped the Turkish music tradition?.....I think that you have heard of Byzantine music and the relevance of it with makams...so are you sure that the greeks didnt know about microtonal modal music?

Best music you can ear, at theese times

@@kahramanyuce7614 throw away your turkish books. Full of crup. Study the truth before you wright something. Because you are giving your self a bad picture. How many years of presence on earth are enough for you to know some things that a little kid in Budan knows.
The only culture turkey owns is the butcher's knife. You are living in a Greek land and listening Greek music also. Your legasy is what Byzantines left you. How can a man teach me the truth when he got old by lies
Υπέροχοι όλοι σας!
