I have owned a set of four Pilot Parallel pens for around ten years, which I once used to practice calligraphy.
They are remarkable pens, very free-flowing and versatile with regard to stroke variation, but I never considered using them for sketching until I watched your video.
I will now dig the pens out from the back of a drawer and add them to my sketching arsenal. 😃

Really like your art style and use of these pens. I also have the 2.4mm and 3.8mm, currently with Pilot's cartridges, which are nice and colourful. I have a 6mm one as well but have a Con 40 ink convertor in it with De Atramentis Document ink (brown in this case), which is a waterproof ink. This seems fine in the pen and is the ink I use in my Kaweco Sport fountain pens with no ill-effect to the pen.

Thank you Martin. I'm currently working through 100 mini portraits using the same reference using different media and techniques, so I'll definitely be using these pens. I already have the same two you have, and the Thea ink too as you had recommended it! Always love your style, and seeing what you draw in your sketchbooks.

I wasn't aware of Parallel Pens until a few weeks ago. Since then, every video I've come across has the artist adapting them in some way. This is the first time I've seen someone use them as they are.
