    Just thought I would mention that I just looked at my little chest of 100% essential oils I purchased, and on the list of uses it doesn’t say anything about not ingesting it, but says it is therapeutic grade... I’m pretty sure they should say food grade or specifically list that in the uses, otherwise I don’t think I will risk eating them!🙏❤️

      I'm pretty sure it would be fine. I'm not sure about amount because I've never worked with tinctures. I'd recommend checking some other tincture candy recopies to see the amounts they are adding. I'm going to make tincture this week, I have found some very cool things to do with tinctures and candy making, if they work, it will change my candy making. Leave it soak in hot water. If it's really bad you have to do it a few time. Usually, leaving it soak for 20 mins to 1/2 hour takes care of it.

    • @llathem2212
      @llathem2212 5 років тому

      It’s not hard. I find it cleans up easier after just sitting in cool or room temp water. I soak it in the tub. It’s water soluble. I made peanut brittle, very similar. Never used essential oils, so I won’t. If you haven’t made candy before you’ll hate doing this but after it’s done it’s sorta worth it.

    I have heard that there are recipes which can be modified in cooking but some of them are formulas...not to be adjusted. Have you found in any of your marvelous preparations that there are some ingredients that should never be substituted and some that can be to adjust flavor?

    • @DiamondDelightEdibles
      @DiamondDelightEdibles 5 років тому +2

      That is not exactly true. If you know ingredients and their reactions and properties along with the ratio used in a recipe you can adjust any recipe. However, I have never been able to do ratio's. If I'm not sure about substituting an ingredient, I google. You can always substitute most ingredients with similar properties.

    So tumeric does nothing without an activation from piperin which is from fresh ground black pepper. I'd mix black pepper and tumeric in a special batch of cannabutter for best results. But at least add black pepper to this for the tumeric to work

    • @DiamondDelightEdibles
      @DiamondDelightEdibles 5 років тому +1

    • @5h4yn3
      @5h4yn3 5 років тому +2

      @@DiamondDelightEdibles you can try replacing the tumeric with circumin instead. That's the active ingredient in tumeric anyways. Most supplement stores sell it already combined with the piperin. That should give the medicinal benefit without the gritty texture
