Was it fine for women teachers doing students hair. Would parents response be different if the students teachers were apart of the LGBTQA+ community? Adults have selected outrage depending on the gender.
It would have been inappropriate in those hypotheticals as well. Teacher-student relationships must have boundaries. Those children are not friends to a grown adult.
It’s the society we live majority of sex offenders are male. The double standard is justified and knowing this he should’ve been more careful no matter his intentions. There’s a lot of creeps who do have bad intentions. This is setting them up to not see the difference
As parents we can’t be around our kids 24/7 so we have to set boundaries to protect them from the ones that try to take advantage of them. This could be innocent but the next teacher or stranger might not be.
