I really like the 8th Doctor’s theme. It only really got made around the time he transitioned to the leather jacket look, but I feel like it fits the more action oriented, thrilling sorts of adventures he’s always getting up to. A little softer motif of his theme sometimes plays to transition to more emotional, quieter scenes and that’s what I think about with his Doctor - a time of peace before the storm. The War Doctor’s theme is a bit interesting to listen to knowing what the Ninth Doctor’s TV theme sounds like. You’d expect this one to be sadder in a way, more tragic, and I think it is in some ways, but the main part is definitely that triumphant trumpet led section and that’s not what you’d expect at first for such an unhappy incarnation. But then again, I think for the same reasons that the War Doctor is still the Doctor even when he doesn’t think he is, this theme also still fits because the War Doctor truly is the hero this theme makes him out to be. The Ninth Doctor’s theme here is so different to his his TV theme, which I felt reflected his sorrow and grief from the Time War, but I feel it’s different in a good way. I love how hopeful it feels. It’s the Doctor returning to himself, allowing himself to embrace all the good parts of the universe that he spent an entire lifetime without. We know there’s pain underneath that he’s not allowing himself to show and it’s like he’s afraid if he stops finding places to heal, things to do, he’ll have to deal with it, but just in the moment, he’s the Doctor again. The Tenth Doctor’s theme feels like he’s back to being the Hero with a capital H. It’s bombastic and loud and reminds me of Ten showing up with a big smug grin to turn the tables. I think his TV theme reflects the more tragic side of his character and the regrets he still carries from the Time War while this theme is more suited for the fun, happier side, similar in ways to the Ninth Doctor’s themes. To;dr I think each theme really nicely sums up where each Doctor is in their life and sides that their main themes on TV (if they have one) don’t really portray.
YES.. YES YES. His Dark Eyes costume, sonic and bag are PERFECT. As someone who's been taught how to survive in the wild, you should always carry a bag of tricks when you go out on an adventure. I mean, w/o sonic he has no way to create fire, cut, or emit light.
Here's my take on these tracks, 8- the calm before the storm, a dashing hero doing what he does best with the threat of all being lost over the horizon, War- the doctor losing all hope for himself as he does what he has to in a cruel and unfair universe 9- an old man trying to find a new hope for self-forgiveness in a battered universe whilst carrying the guily of all he had done 10- a new page in his life, a return to the old ways but with a great darkness both behind and ahead in his life
They do all look similar, but they're 3 different jackets. 8 wears a navy leather peacoat with gold buttons, War wears a battered brown 3/4 length double breasted leather coat, and 9 wears a double breasted black ww2 leather jacket.
8's theme really gives me strong I Am The Doctor vibes from 11's run, dark but still has that feeling of excitement as you fly around in the Tardis fighting evil, but my personal favorite has to be the War Doctor's
Considering Dr who's deal with Disney + it would be really cool if big finish stories got adapted into animation maybe hiring the same animation company who did the new 52 DC films?
I’m sorry, I love big finish but, the soundtracks are awful and generic, but on a low budget that is understandable. The 8th Doctor theme is just so generic and doesn’t suit his character, it feels too modern, would much prefer a piece that evokes ancient Edwardian explorer over a generic video game soundtrack.

That jacket got some mileage, eh?

The 4th Doctor also has a Big Finish theme that you could add

The 10th and 9th doctor's theme reminds me of Torchwood music.
All bangers

Ehh, more likely, they'll get the people who made the what if?... series.
There was also a big finish one for 4 I think
why does 10s theme sound like it belongs in Portal 2
