When I was 13 years old, I played on a DarkRP server a ton, called The Public DarkRP. I loved it, I was friends with a ton of regulars, had a lot of pure, unadulterated chaotic garry's mod fun. Then, I met one of the server admins and we started to talk and hang out in game a lot. At the time, I just thought we were friends. He was 15 or 16 at the time we met. He started making weird sexual jokes. These jokes turned into conversations, into him asking me questions, into more. I was young and naive at the time, and I had some confusing feelings sexually, so I started to go along with it eventually. After a bit, he basically started promising me more access / roles on the server in exchange for some sexually charged skyping. I did it once. I didn't think about it, I was just a dumb kid who didn't realize what I was doing. I regretted it almost immediately. After things were said and done, I started finding myself joining the server less and less. I didn't realize why at the time, but I think I was afraid that server admin was going to say something about it to others or maybe ask me to do it again. I finally stopped playing, and removed the server admin on Steam and blocked them on Skype. Fast forward 3 years later, and they add me on Steam again. I had changed my steam name at this point, so to find me, he accessed the logs of the now dead server and found my Steam ID. He used this to add me again with a different name. I didn't immediately recognize him, but he told me who he was and revealed to me that he had taken screenshots of what we were doing in the skype call we did. He sent me the screenshots. He wasn't outright about it, but he was implying that I should continue to talk to him or perform sexual acts for him, or those images might end up leaked to my friends. He could've added my Steam friends and sent those pictures, and I had my own Dad and siblings on my list. My stomach sank. It still sinks thinking about how I felt in that moment. I was terrified, angry, confused, and just sad all at the same time. I removed him and hoped and prayed. I didn't want anyone to find out, so I just removed him, and hoped it went away. He must not have done it, as I hadn't heard from / about him again for a long long time. Years later, I found out that guy is now in prison for doing the same thing to 2 other people. You can look him up, Glen Robert Anderson. He has a pathetic forum online where he claims he's been "set up" and that what he did really wasn't that bad. He went by the name Glen Anderson on The Public DarkRP, if anyone remembers, my name was "Midget Backpack". I sometimes look back fondly on some of the memories I made with some of the community on that server, but I would give anything to erase it from my memory, or undo my ever joining it. Please be careful about who you interact with online. Especially if you are under 18. If you're not 18, don't even touch Garry's Mod servers.
This is why restricting your kids from playing games on a platform that is accessible by literally anyone is the best thing you can do for them, especially when it comes to talking to em via chat and forums I hope you've recovered from this horrible incident and I hope this guy remains behind bars and gets registered to some kind of "S3X offender" village God bless you, Amen 🙏✝️

He has spent a little under 4 full years playing this game. This means that if he started playing in 2014, then 35% of every hour of this man's life since then has been playing Gmod. That's 61 hours a week for 10 years. That's over a third of every week for a decade; spent in Gmod. GMOD servers are unhinged. I remember playing TTT and a racist troll joined, he got his Steam banned and later the owner pasted his IP in the chat and said "he is a racist but don't doxx him".
my bet is that they only had the IP address initially, which gave them a general location to focus on. from there when they added them on discord the victim most likely had other socials such as spotify, twitch, youtube, steam or whatever embedded on their discord profile, possibly had information such as usernames or even their name partially or fully (they already gave away half their name) that may be shared across other sites or socials that had more revealing information which they paired together. this can allow anyone dedicated or nosy enough to use other publicly available and free to use services such as phone look up or whitepages (too much information is publicly available in the US) to give them an educated guess on who they are and where they lived. moral of the story (besides that terminally online gmod admins are losers), is to be careful with your socials and what information you share on your socials. the average snooper cannot find out who you are from an IP address by itself, it's just too vague.
remember to NEVER link your accounts. it serves 3 people: advertisers, people who want to break into your accounts, and people who want to creep on you. doing that shit only makes it easier for all 3
Yep this makes sense, if they were desperate enough they could try and contact the service provider and try and social engineer information out of them which would've been a different approach and a bit more risky so I think you're right on this
Parkerr you're not going to believe this but yeah i was frwicken playin de server and yer da owner basically ddorsed me... uh he came to my house and took my modem and put it on the street for a car to wun over. so yeah um i know what you mean and umm i dont have evidernce but it happened
Banning his account and then putting his brand new alt that joined right after as admin is more than enough proof for me. Meant he knew the admin did it and wanted to act like they did something about it.
wow i genuinely used to play this server so much when i was younger and got very well integrated into the community, racism was always seen as the way to fit in or be funny, im so glad i did not go down that kind of path.
I remember NoCancerRP. They've been doing this for 8+ years, not just apple jack has done this. I used to play that server like crazy, and left because I got my IP leaked for a crossfire.
So that owner is 100% doing things that require money and illegal hacking to be involved to get a full address and name. You usually need to pay a fee to a shady website or be on a hacker forum that provides that service to get all that information. Generally, the IP address only shows the general location, not the exact location. But being a server owner, they probably make 1000's a month from that alone so putting out like $50-$100 every once in awhile probably isn't a big deal to them.
can be glad its this chronically online gmod admin doing the doxxing at least, cause hes completely harmless and wont do anything! weird internet hardmen
I really doubt it's IP Address related. You only really get your local ISP's city, state. Which is a huge radius for where the customer likely is. I'm pretty sure there was some other way they got that information. My money is on a linked discord account or something.
As another comment stated he probably had an old reddit linked or something, there's tiny cracks in every social encounter that can lead you closer to the person behind the screen.
Depends on the Ip and location. If the person was in a big city area, it'd be near impossible without some social engineering. But if the person was in a neighborhood or someone remote, that circle radius only shrinks and gets easier to track.
There's a server called "homigrad" originally was a Russian mod pack, but recently there's been AU and ENG servers with this mod pack. As a OP "operator" for the ENG server my Ip was leaked after a nuking of the server by the ex owner because a Russian user bought co-owner (No clue you could even do that) and tried making "corn" channels in the discord. His only excuse was "we should have corn channels because the Russian servers do" (btw both him and the co-owner at the time were Russian). But basically the owner nuked the server because of how sketchy these people were and the fact they are trying to implement corn channels in a server with mostly minors (even was the owner was a minor). So me and the owner and most of the staff team made a other server called "BLOODSHED REWORK" for a new game he was working on. Eventually we started making a evidence page to end the server once and for all. some of the evidence includes: poorly made excuses but the co-owners to say its "just a joke", multiple corn channels including children (yes they had a cheese pizza channel but I don't think it had anything related to it), and multiple peoples ips, home addresses, full names, emails, and photos that the co-owners have posted PUBLICLY.
That is MAD! I knew you could buy out servers and stuff related to it. But I didn’t know that ex-owner can just give out all of this information but just have it in the first place. All these years I thought homigrad was some extreme rule following server with zero braindead persons. I thought it was something like a “Dobrograd”, a server that died out years ago, that was first Russian RP to implement some cool addons.
@@z3kr0v74 was fun while it lasted, I made great memories from it but it sucks to see a server crash so hard when it was so high up. I honestly thought that game mode alone would bring back gmod.
Ddossing is a federal crime in the states btw, it aint enough to just ban this chronic video game addict 'cause he's gonna come back anyway. Better to try a tip to the FBI at this point.
Report this guy to the police. No one is untouchable. I love this game, and I used to play on servers many years ago. I'm glad I don't play on servers anymore. Thanks for calling this loser out.
@@ccorentin2004 I don‘t know where you got the info from that having a dynamic IP is rare. Most consumers get a dynamic public IP assigned from their ISP via DHCP, which would make sense as the costs for assigning everyone a static IP would be too expensive. In france it is the same. You can buy a static IP from your ISP. What you refer to is probably your internal home network IP, which doesn‘t change.
@@artimiti OFC i wasn't talking about internal network ip. anyways, it seems to be only related to free, my ISP, which offers you dynamic IP, but with only 16384 ports allocated (so, four ppl on the same ip). since i wasn't happy with that (some games would only communicate with an out of range port), i asked them for a "full stack ip", which is not dynamic.
as an old time gmod player with a need to touch grass, having your ip leaked and being ddosed is basically a norm on that game as its engine is filled with security vulnerabilities. Some even allow full access to your pc, wipe data on the game, install viruses, you name it. Gmod is a security leak at its heart, what matters is the people you meet and i often find that the actual dangerous people don't do much they just wait until they have a reason to act. with that said, an IP is public info, so having an IP leaked is not a big deal, ddos is unfun but vpn can solve that. just note if you play gmod you are open to attack but unlikely to get attacked unless you are stupid. but still being doxed is not chill
He's just making the most of his hard earned $10 spent on Garry's mod (because he doesn't have a job)! If he bought Gmod at full price then he only spent about $0.05 USD for every full week (168 hours) he's played!
The NoCancer RP I've dealt with shady things they've did to me. I tried doing the wheel glitch to crash the server for fun. I then got a rainbow seizure screen and the inability to leave the server and the admins giggling in the background.
That has always been a problem with Garry's Mod ...If it isn't the typical " hackerman " then it's server owner collecting IP(s) & geo-location data on the player(s).
He would've either signed up an account on their forums and provided his real information or he bought something which obviously requires your personal information
To be clear, ddosing and dosing are highly illegal and can result in some serious jail time. Dosing is when only one person overloads an ip, Ddos in when multiple people overload an ip, Shame on them.
As someone who owns a minecraft and TF2 server, not new, we can see your ips when you join, thats how we ban ya, with that ip. Very useful to stop people as they only have one internet ip since people could make multiple accounts or try to log in with someone's access key if using a third party launcher
This isnt just a garrys mod thing. Any game with dedicated servers has this issue. It's a problem of people being toxic, I feel like maybe platforms like steam should take reports of doxxing mores seriously.
most of the people I met who have over 10k+ hours on good are actually good people, but this is only after not playing in toxic communities, I only go on build servers which is where I met these rlly cool people What I get from people who go on said build servers, they always tell me ‘never go on small servers especially in RP servers’ and i slowly am starting to realize why LMAO these people are VILE.
this isn't new, i've modded a darkrp mod and one of the owners flat out said they have access to alot of irl information of users due to the modding plugins used, including the ability to grab the screen to see what a player is seeing (was used to catch wallhacks in use but idk if it could "grab" anything outside of gmod like your desktop)
Likely doxxed through his discord connections, if he has any socials linked it is somewhat easy to obtain & build up information on someone. You cannot get an address through an IP address, as it just gives an approximate location to where the victim is located.
This has been happening for years. Like genuinely, its surprising how much people don't know it lists your IP in the server management console. It even does it when you connect to friends multiplayer servers. It lists your IP in the in-game console.
I got perma-banned on that server for switching on an ESP because I got bored. A few months later it got taken off the mp browser. I actually never realized that awesome owner dude I talked to after doing something like prop climbing onto a building was behind all of this. To clarify not defending doing that, I made a dumb choice: although glad I got booted off if they were leaking sensitive information as retaliation.

people post their personal information online, and become shocked when people read it back to them
Yep this makes sense, if they were desperate enough they could try and contact the service provider and try and social engineer information out of them which would've been a different approach and a bit more risky so I think you're right on this
@@megaladon891 very true!
The owner of australian underground did the exact same thing. there’s videos of that too.
100k soon and so well deserved. Well done mate - keep the content coming
wow i genuinely used to play this server so much when i was younger and got very well integrated into the community, racism was always seen as the way to fit in or be funny, im so glad i did not go down that kind of path.
You caught apple so hard he became walter jr for a moment 🤣
I remember NoCancerRP. They've been doing this for 8+ years, not just apple jack has done this. I used to play that server like crazy, and left because I got my IP leaked for a crossfire.
Thank God, I don’t do Garrys mod servers and only play with my friends in private servers
1:56 Yes there is... use a VPN. Good luck booting a data center offline.
"I'm shitting pissing and shaking right now"
- Some 10 year old playing gmod thinking an IP address can do anything
That's why I only play Gmod servers in which I know the owner personally.
congrats on the success parker been here for a while keep going man
can be glad its this chronically online gmod admin doing the doxxing at least, cause hes completely harmless and wont do anything! weird internet hardmen
Yo ty for the videos because it's shows the truth of these horrible people and they shouldn't get away with it ♥️ keep it up and keep the truth going
I really doubt it's IP Address related. You only really get your local ISP's city, state. Which is a huge radius for where the customer likely is. I'm pretty sure there was some other way they got that information. My money is on a linked discord account or something.
scott has dyed hair, so 99% chance he is a groomer
Maybe token grabbed or got doxxed
@@pvprangergod4024 found the staff member
As another comment stated he probably had an old reddit linked or something, there's tiny cracks in every social encounter that can lead you closer to the person behind the screen.
Depends on the Ip and location. If the person was in a big city area, it'd be near impossible without some social engineering. But if the person was in a neighborhood or someone remote, that circle radius only shrinks and gets easier to track.
"had their full name and address read out to them"
meanwhile, me, having my full name and address publicly known as a legal requirement
Fallow Aussie here Keep these videos coming literally fall asleep to these 👍🏻🤟🏼

@@azure3182 BAHAHAH
Do they bore ya that much mate?
9:23 bro hit him with "How'd you know that? I didn't. I do now."
Wow man you have been doing so well this year in views. Congrats, you deserve it.
at 9:14 bro knew he was boutta catch a case ddossing aswell as ip leaking is a offgrid fellony in ALL STATES
Man you are actually a good man you help out people your videos are awesome thank you for doing what you do
Ddossing is a federal crime in the states btw, it aint enough to just ban this chronic video game addict 'cause he's gonna come back anyway. Better to try a tip to the FBI at this point.
Would be funny to see it escalated to the OIA for a quick extradition request
Btw, Applejack is a my little pony friendship is magic mane 6 character
Gmod is a game filled with children, and overgrown children lol
On the road to 100k subs! Congratulations man you earned it. Love the content and keep it up!
Report this guy to the police. No one is untouchable. I love this game, and I used to play on servers many years ago. I'm glad I don't play on servers anymore. Thanks for calling this loser out.
I own my own private Gmod server that is just for me and my IRL friends, this is exactly why we made sure it’s private
They cant find the adress with ip. He probably estalked him.
OR, his ip might be in a data leak, which links to his adress...
@@ccorentin2004 wouldn't make sense because private homes get dynamic IP adresses from their ISP.
@@artimiti it's very rare to have dynamic ip. maybe it depends on your ISP, but in france i've had 2 and both don't have dynamic.
Lets goo parkerr. Great video. Ive been here since 5k and im so glad to see that youre only 3k away from 100k.
He's just making the most of his hard earned $10 spent on Garry's mod (because he doesn't have a job)! If he bought Gmod at full price then he only spent about $0.05 USD for every full week (168 hours) he's played!
this is why i stick to playing single player with 200 mods instead
Ddos is just cheap idf tactics
Expose these peoples names and accounts we need to be publicly aware & protected its our right.
you can get doxxed playing anything and its not really a huge deal
Oh guys you can get doxxed playing anything and it isn't a huge deal, so this means its completely okay to do this to someone.
Nah, only when you're playing some doggy peer to peer game or on some crazy person's private server like this one.
@@JonYugen Cry about it. Yes it's fine if the person is an idiot.
Lmao you absolutely had him shitting his pants 😂
The NoCancer RP I've dealt with shady things they've did to me. I tried doing the wheel glitch to crash the server for fun. I then got a rainbow seizure screen and the inability to leave the server and the admins giggling in the background.
Literally one of Parkerr's best video.
I love how the owner's response was "there are worse out there, why me?"
That has always been a problem with Garry's Mod ...If it isn't the typical " hackerman " then it's server owner collecting IP(s) & geo-location data on the player(s).
The surfing on that specific map took me back, god that nostalgia hit so hard
AWS0ME BRO I CAN'T KEEP SUPPORTING YOU /W ALL DIS ... ALSO SHOW US THE FUNNY MENU
This is not just a simple "no, bad person", it's a full on crime with the owner assisting and even encouraging the crime.
What the hell parker with the 6am upload, you know it’s gonna be a good day if Parker uploads
idk what you are talking about but your gameplay is awesome dude, keep surfin!
i like these crime investigation gmod documentaries type videos.
I used to play No Cancer and my friend got banned for reason.
Keep in mind that any game you play with privately hosted servers that have administration on said servers your information is being collected.
It's a problem of people being toxic, I feel like maybe platforms like steam should take reports of doxxing mores seriously.
bro this is so so common, ive been ddosed and ip doxxed on different gmod servers multiile times. vpns are imperative
bro where tf are u going to
I love the runescape background music😂
most of the people I met who have over 10k+ hours on good are actually good people, but this is only after not playing in toxic communities, I only go on build servers which is where I met these rlly cool people
What I get from people who go on said build servers, they always tell me ‘never go on small servers especially in RP servers’ and i slowly am starting to realize why LMAO these people are VILE.
Australians single-handedly bringing down RP, thank god
parkerr i sent a report and a FacePunch moderator named orkel said he will look into it
this isn't new, i've modded a darkrp mod and one of the owners flat out said they have access to alot of irl information of users due to the modding plugins used, including the ability to grab the screen to see what a player is seeing (was used to catch wallhacks in use but idk if it could "grab" anything outside of gmod like your desktop)
Likely doxxed through his discord connections, if he has any socials linked it is somewhat easy to obtain & build up information on someone. You cannot get an address through an IP address, as it just gives an approximate location to where the victim is located.
You can get an address from an IP address. Social engineering a ISP would give you the exact address, and in most cases the homeowners name
They googled his discord username 💀

Facepunch, we've got a face
This has been happening for years. Like genuinely, its surprising how much people don't know it lists your IP in the server management console. It even does it when you connect to friends multiplayer servers. It lists your IP in the in-game console.

ayy I was one of the 200 following you on Twitter
I got perma-banned on that server for switching on an ESP because I got bored. A few months later it got taken off the mp browser. I actually never realized that awesome owner dude I talked to after doing something like prop climbing onto a building was behind all of this. To clarify not defending doing that, I made a dumb choice: although glad I got booted off if they were leaking sensitive information as retaliation.
