Thank you for posting this! I have pancreatitis & want to get pregnant soon. Did the baby moving or growing affect the pain at all? That's what I'm worried about.

This just made my day!!🤩 I am really sorry for not being able to reach out to you earlier. My lil one keeps me on me toes.
To answer your question, no she was never a bother, in fact frequent hospital trips sort of scared her and I was so always so unhappy being at the hospital with that horrible pain. My pancreatitis just acted up on it’s own even when I was being super careful with my diet. I think a lot of damage was done around my brother’s wedding. I was eating the most unhealthy outside food. I had symptoms for 2 months till it was finally diagnosed by my OBGYN.
I suggest being super careful with your diet and I pray that all goes well with your pregnancy. Please do not get worried. Pregnancy is beautiful and God gives you so much strength during this time. You feel a strong connection with your little one and for that little life inside you, you are ready to fight! Hope this helped! All the best with everything. Cheers!

Hi Zahara! I’m 37 weeks pregnant. My first episode was at 30 weeks and I went to the hospital. The hospital diagnosed me with a UTI and said I was experiencing bladder spasms. They told me the next time it happened I should just deal with the pain and drink more fluids. I’ve had 4 more episodes since then all where I’ve had to unbearably tolerate. After watching this video and doing some other research I know this is not a bladder spasm, it is severe pain in my pancreas. During the episodes I get hot and sweaty, I can’t breathe, it hurts to sit, lay down, bend over and even stand up, and I get nauseous and begin violent vomiting. These episodes happen roughly every 2 weeks. I will be going to the doctor tomorrow morning to get some answers. Wish me goodluck!! Thanks for your video

Hello Zahra, congratulations for your princess!! Stay strong and high! God bless you!
I was also suffering from acute pancreatitis during my pregnancy back in 2018, from mid of April - June. It is very difficult pregnancy, specially a difficult mental journey. In my fourth episode doctor decided to operate me and gave birth of our daughter! I also wish same, no body ever go through such things. Sorry to hear that you were also suffered same. But glad that you did it well with all your strength!

I was induced at 37 weeks because my boy wasn’t gaining weight. He was born healthy but underweight at 4 lb 12 oz. I had my gallbladder removed 2 weeks after delivery. I lost 60 lb throughout my pregnancy because I wasn’t eating much. We are good now, my baby boy is going to be 1 year old next week.

Hello Zahra, thankyou for sharing your story sorry you had to go thru this but this video gave me hope… Im going thru same situation, got acute pancreatitis attack at 27weeks was in hosp for 4days on IV fluids and later liquid diet.. question for you: did you loose weight during these attacks? Any effect on the baby growth? Also if you can share what diet you followed to avoid it from happening again please. Thanks may god bless you and your little one ❤️

      Hey
Hope you are doing well. Don’t worry you got this!!💪🏼
Yes, I lost 31 lbs. 18 during and 13 after giving birth. My baby was born at about 5lbs, but still healthy Alhumdulillah. She gained weight gradually with breastfeeding and formula afterwards. I don’t think it has much affect on the growth. The baby still takes nutrients from the foods that you eat.
My diet was really strict but still I had to be hospitalized almost every 2 weeks in the last 2 months.
Breakfast: 1 whole wheat bread toast, boiled egg, salt and black pepper, one apple
Lunch and Dinner: white rice without starch and any homemade lentil without tarkaa and least amount of spices. Sometimes I had white rice with any cooked veggie salan.
I was suffering from severe heart burn, pancreatitis and gestational diabetes.
I couldnt not have much fats, spices or even carbs.
It was definitely so so tough! I used to be so depressed but I never gave up. I relied on prayers and family support.
I will make special prayers for you too! Take care and hang in there! InshAllah you and the baby will both be fine♥️

Thankyou so much zahra for the reply, this helps a lot. My diet is mostly rice and veggies based as well with very less fats and spices, just praying to god it wont happen again.
I have been dropping weight everyday ofcourse being on liquid diet that concerns me bcoz everywhere it says you shouldn’t lose weight during pregnancy 😞.. and
I heard different statements from different doctors and nurses during my hosp stay, mostly saying this won’t effect baby and few said it will since you are in pain and stressed, making me more stressed 😩.. as this is very rare during pregnancy dont think even my ob has much understanding on the situation… i do have scan schedule to access the growth in a week waiting for that…
Thankyou again for sharing details, you are the best ❤️😊

Im having the same issue hospitalized as we speak! The pain yesterday was sharp like someone stabbing me. Today allhumdullilah I don’t have pain but still kept under observation.
In my first pregnancy I had issue of cholestatis but I’m not sure if it’s linked with pancreatitis. Atm My both enzymes are high but my ultrasound is fine allhumdullilah.
Your video gave me hope that InshaAllah it will be fine. Lots of love for you and your daughter

Hang in there! This shall too pass. Once you are discharged, I would suggest being very strict with your diet of low fat. I am praying inshAllah this attack wont happen again.
Alhumdulillah so happy to know that ultrasound is fine. May Allah protect you and your baby during this pregnancy and afterwards as well. Lots of prayers and best wishes for you both♥️
