Do you need to know Korean pretty fluently in order to understand your classes, or do they explain things in english becuase the school allows exchange students and they assume that their Korean probably wont be perfect. Also do the exchange students take special classes because of the language barrier or are they required to do and learn the same things and the same way as the Korean students? I'd really appreciate an answer to my questions because iv'e been really interested in studying abroad in Korea. Your vedio was quite helpful to see a small image of the reality of studying abroad there, so thank you!!!
While you’re doing an exchange, in any country actually, you aren’t really going to be doing much work it school, you’re mostly going to be focused on learning the language. You’re required to at least try and complete your work but before you can really learn about a new subject you’d want to speak the language it’s being taught it first. So majority of your stay you’d be learning the language. But if you’re going to exchange to Korea I’d recommended at least learning hangul and some basic phrases
T a e x H y u n g i e in South Korea , you attend high school from 15 to 18 . I went through an exchange program (rotary international) and they send students between 15-18 abroad !
Sami Carat elementary is kindergarten to grade 6 junior high is grade 7-9 high school is grade 10-12 kindergarten the average age is 5? grade 12 average age is 18
I'm curious. We're the academics harder than what most people are used to, Or do you think any foreigner can get adjusted to studying, exams, etc at a Korean high school?
Josh Archer anyone can get used to the academic situation in korea. But I must say most of the students are really into the school life and studies . Their dream is to go to the university they want. But I think you can still do it even if you’re not korean !
Omg, that's amazing, I'm from Poland too, so "pozdrowienia dla Kasi"! :P How did you two manage to go on a exchange to Korea? Is it some kind of special programme? ♥
May I ask what program did you use to be a transfer student in south Korea? I really want to study there for a semester and I'm in high school (15) and I have been looking at many programs but can't seem to find the right one 😂
Bonjour ! :3
Méliᄏᄏ coucou !

Hi! I am currently going to a Korean high school and I’ve been having some problems making friends, I mean everybody is nice to me but they just talk to me to explain me the class or something like that, but that’s it I haven’t got close to anyone and I feel out of the group like everyone already knows each other (from middle school) so they are really close. Hope you can give any tips :) (sorry if my question has nothing to do with the video)
GUITA LF hey , okay so first you need to know that it’s completely normal to feel like this. I felt like that too at the beginning ! Feeling like they are being nice but not really trying to get to know and all.. but I think you’re the one who need to show them who you are, what you’re like, what you are able to do,... talk with them, ask them to play games with you, eat lunch together, things like that. That’s sad to say that but the effort needs to come from you ! 🙏🏼
