you are so right, it is amazing how many millions have been to watch the TT and MGP over the years and have never ventured away from Douglas and the course, the south is stunning, but nice to enjoy the empty roads.
Nice video. I owned an RD350LC in white and blue exact same colour as you showed in this museum for two years whilst at uni in the late 1980s. Had such fun riding it around the the lanes of Sussex. Wish I still had it. I thought about going to the IoM a couple of years ago but the cost of the ferry from Liverpool is not cheap and I live in East Anglia so quite a trek to get even to Liverpool. Easier to get to the continent France, the Netherlands and Germany for me and cheaper! But the roads and the scenery on the IoM does look good.
Nick, if you are ever in Port Erin again and looking for a cafe try the one in the railway station or the one opposite the petrol station.. Regards Edward
Hi Nick I had an RD250 with full fairing and clip on handle bars when I was lad. I loved it, my mum hated it, probably just after I had told my dad I could get 100mph out of it 🤣
just so you know we stay in port erin every year for tt just after the petrol garage basically just after the petrol pumps theres a tiny cafe just there there is also one in the railway station on the platform side and also the falcon hotel(where we stay is open for coffee with large windows over looking the beach
My first visit to IOM and we were staying at Colby in the South so traveled on the A36 every day over the mountain a short ride to Balacraine and the circuit. Farewell trip on the trusty MT10 before I downsize to a new Street RS. Cheers MotoUK
Was fab weather and lucky you riding that mountain every day. Love it there. You can’t go wrong with the new Street RS, must admit I had my eye on a yellow one but opted to go with the tiger 1200 rally pro instead and I wanted more comfort for longer trips. If I didn’t have the Bonny then the Street RS would be parked in my garage for sure
Yes so lucky with the weather. I have gone for the Cosmic Yellow RS which looks fantastic but need to wait till September for next delivery, but sure it will be worth the wait.
another good video,i liked the motorcycle museum, rode a new 250lc to the NEC the first year they came on the market, but for me the velo venom was always the bike i would`ve loved to have had as a boy, maybe the fish tail exhausts were the allure. :)
Hi, really like videos, good content and commentary. I have a T120 Black as well and totally agree about how lovely she is to ride. One question if I may, about the clothes that you wear, they look really comfortable so could you do a little presentation on them. The good and bad points. I have been scrolling through your videos but other than the odd mention I don’t see any reviews. Do you think you could put something together? Anyway, keep up the good work and ride safe.
Hi MiCa, 👋 thanks for tuning in and yes I can mention the clothing in my next travels on the Bonny in a couple weeks time. My go too jackets atm are from Merlin bike gear, the Edale jacket in olive which I use from zero to 18c and for above that I generally use their mesh Shelton jacket which has a mix of mesh and tech wax cotton. All have D30 armour inside except i use a Klim air bag vest under all. Boots my go to atm are from Alpinestars. Will put all in the video to come 👍 cheers Nick
@@MOTOUK1 Thanks Nick, looking forward to seeing the review, I like both of those jackets. Will be getting one or both after I’ve seen your review. Nothing better than getting some real use reviews in my opinion. Keep safe, Mike.
I've all fully booked glamping for next year. Some of the videos with people racing over the mountain pass overtaking cars looks dangerous. Will like to stay away from them. Your pace is more my style. Just enjoy the island.
Just as a point of interest the police do not do you for speeding unless you dont behave yourself in the 30 M.P.H. zones !! Which to be honest is fair !! As was said to me quote" the government give you the mountain to play on " so go and play up there but if you speed in the villages we will have you !!!!
That's really cool and interesting vidz my friend. Keep it up and more vidz to come.

Really enjoyed this. Scenery is awesome on the Island and nothing better than a bonneville to enjoy it IMHO
Loved every minute of it 👍
Great video.
Thanks John 👍

Great countryside. I would not be trapped in a full coverage helmet while riding there. I like to feel the air and smell the smells.
Lovely countryside, shame about the rubbish food, not a decent place to eat in sight. Good to see you're enjoying the Bonneville.
