Right decision! "Where are you" is definitely not worth spoiling for anything!
The first time I saw that performance, it left me absolutely breathless and I mean literally breathless. The impact of that climax was so intense that I physically felt it like something slammed into my chest leaving me feeling suffocated and heavy-hearted. And i wasn't even aware of the lyrics of the song at that time.
I'm an emotional person and music gets to me easily but that was the very first time in my whole life that a song, a performance impacted me so physically, and that moment was also when I truly fell in love with her voice and began to develop a genuine appreciation for powerful vocals in general. And all that simply through a youtube video, I can only imagine what the ones actually present there must have felt.
And even today, having listenned to several other amazing vocalists since then, I have yet to come across another one who could literally materialize the intensity of a song like she does. It might be just me but I haven't felt something similar from even the likes of Mariah, who So Hyang herself looks upto. The only exception is probably Lara Fabian, another great vocalist who has also mastered her voice with decades of experience and also has that emotional maturity in her delivery to give a similar physical impact.
Both of them are handsdown my fav vocalists of all times, bar none.
So Hyang's crystal clear, bright timbre with her soaring highs and angelic headvoice alongside Lara's dark, warm timbre with her rich mids and deep lows, covers pretty much every aspect of my daily vocal needs. UA-cam makes it easy to discover another amazing vocalist every few days but when i want to just sit back, relax and lose myself in the moment I always come back to them coz their performances never feel supeficial or half-baked, Its always a fullon experience even after having rewatched it hundreds of times by now.

Nice job! Surprised that neither "You Raise Me Up" nor "I Have Nothing" were not in the top 10. People believe that nobody can touch Whitney Houston's song; So Hyang slayed it.
So good to see you again. I wondered why you disappeared from the Sohyang scene. The copyright is a real headache, particularly for Sohyang performances on MBC (like King of Masked Singer, where she had some phenomenal performances). There are some videos with reaction seem to have an easier time getting back the copyright check. The original video was re-edited with split screen and additional changes like some you can find on the channel by Jun.
Love your reaction at the start. Bridge Over Troubled Water at #10? This is the video that got me to become Sohyang fan. You are absolutely right that Sohyang's head voice is something very special. It contains some magical emotional fiber that goes directly for the heart.

Hi Sofie. I love your reaction- this is one of your best! You love So Hyang as much as I do. However, please avoid getting another copyright strike! A few comments:
a) Home- it makes you feel like you are soaring through the air; the background clouds makes you feel like you are flying!
b) Dream- at the very end of the song, she turns away and seem to stumble; a knowledgeable vocal coach says that when one singes that sustained not, some singers get momentarily dizzy
c) Mona Lisa- many (including myself) had wanted you to react to this (before your problems with MBC/KBS) because of the rock genre- she also can RAP ("Day Day")! So versatile!
d) Breathe- my favorite song
e) One song that is missing in this list is "I Have Nothing" (Whitney Houston)- she made it her own and impressed many of the staunchest fans of Whitney (Note: reactions to this song have been blocked without editing)

If you are a member of Sohyang Fan Facebook, there was a survey done a while back. Practically everyone has a different list lolz. I believe Everyone was probably #1 in many list though not on mine. For me, it is Dear Love as you have mentioned in this video.
In King of Mask Singers, you can try having the video in Black & White, or just react to audio with video appearing at certain places.
If you decide to try video of KOMS, you must react via vimeo with English subtitles. Official videos in youtube were truncated.
The only King of Mask Singers songs that Sohyang did sing after the competition were Atlantis Princess, Home, Hug Me and Breathe. My feeling is that her performances in KOMS are more superior than these performances.

I disliked So-Hyang first time because of the song "Where are you?" even though I became her fan.
The Original singer is a legend in Korea.
So-Hyang respect him. So she covered "Where are you?" and "Everyone"
His name is "Yim Jae Beum"
"Everyone" was famous for his remaking, again after 30years.
He had never showed in Broad station for his faith
(He wanted to demonstrate the fact he never sung for money)
But He appeared singing the remaking version of "Everyone" again after 10 years in Broadcast station for money to save his wife who got cancer.
At that time, The version of remaking "Everyone" shocked Korean society.
The popularity of His live made a boom of music program in Broadcast station.
Just like "I am a singer", "Masked singer", "Immortal song", "Hidden Singer" etc.
Unfortunately, his wife eventually died of cancer and it became hard to see him on the air.

I also disliked Sohyang as I was a Regine Stan too. I watched a high notes battle between Sohyang & Aileen and Regine & Jona (can't remember? Please correct me). And as usual the comment section was fully toxic of Regine stans and Sohyang fans were trying diligently to defend Sohyang from them. I d didn't comment then, but I always had agreed with the Regine stans saying like she's shouting, she she's screaming, she is sounding like a dying cat, some were homophobic and some literally wrote a full paragraph of Regine's awards & accomplishments, and people praising her. Then I can't exactly what happened, but in late 2017 I started listening to her songs more than the climax part which made me feel different than any singers I watched. Then once I watched more of Sohyang, it led to watch music channels like FedSax98 & Maryah Watkins Productions (RIP channel) and eventually music terms and notes, slowly leading up to where I am now, passionately admiring a vocalist from 39-42💗👸🎶
There are so many high quality fancams to easily do songs like Fate, Run Across the Sky, O Holy Night, Arirang, Home and Dream without risking a strike. Not sure why more reactors don't use those.

Not all korean performers it depends on the platform or the show. even so the UA-cam algorithm is crazy. one creator will find problems uploading one video and others will not even if it's the same video and vise Vera. but the problem is when the company owners of the song find the reaction manually and claim it randomly

The DMCA copyright strike sucks. The DMCA can be disputed within a region or country that the copyright holder is based from. The issue with performances from other regions is almost impossible to dispute because the DMCA in it's entirety is specifically meant to be enforced by the US.
Other regions are not bound to it. The legal protection of "Fair use" applies to the US only. Which i find silly that people put "fair use" on the screen as if it was a shield.
It means nothing if the right holder is in a different country.
Each region is connected via global copyright treaties not the DMCA or "Fair use" protection.
The confusing thing is that DMCA is both a legal rule set and a private limited liability company that enforces the law. When you get a DMCA strike it means the LTD company enforced the laws that the violation took place in.
