I was on Eagle Lake Aug 18-23 up near Vermilion Bay. Had a unbelievable time for about three days. Caught two nice skis saw two Canadian legals WOW but stated feeling sick My buddy drove me home early to a Rhinelander WI Hospital As I found out there my gall Badder blew out and now I am 3+ weeks post gall bladder removal surgery. What an adventure Hope to make it back next year. Love the episodes keeps me sane during the off season THANK YOU
@davidhardt9924 Man, that's a bummer that your trip got cut short like that! I'm glad you were having a good time up to that point, though 😊 I hope you're doing well, and I appreciate you watching the videos!
We go north of Eagle from Illinois. Now that we're older, we stopped the all night drive crap. Instead, we leave Friday, stay in Fort Francis on the way up, and Duluth on the way back. If you've never been to Canal Park in Duluth, it's a must try at least once.
@kava8902 On my early trips to Canada when I was younger, we would make a stop in Duluth for the night and we would always have dinner and Grandma's restaurant there!
That second spot you were in with the 3 follows is a great spot. Its by our house, i hit that spot first on my way out to the main lake. South or southeast wind push the bait into that area. We enjoy watching your videos
@sgangling Thanks dude! I love getting fish on topwater and bucktails, so late August is always good for that. I'd love to do a late fall trip soon up there, though. Did it a few years back, and with what I've learned in the years since then, I would love to try it again!
Great video! any chance of an official “dangle blade” Esox assault bucktail in the future? Think that would be awesome especially with an EA killer tail
@AnglingAnarchy My one trip to Eagle the fish were active and following the first day, but a weather front came in that night and shut them down. I caught a small one late in the week, and that was it.

@alexfinlayson1753 It's a sweet little spot there! I appreciate you watching!
Always a good fish when you think you were snagged.
I’ve had/seen a few that bit when the bait pops off of a snag.
Awesome stuff as always dude, glad that special 109 is paying some dividends!
@MattVavrochFishing Thanks dude! I'm loving the little dangle blade on the back!
"apex predator 🙄"
i lol'd
Go Bills!
Sweet episode and some really beautiful fish. Is there a reason you always go in August vs Sept/October?

@jacketrimpe I'm not sure about that, but I'll probably have a video out at some point where I show how to add one. It's pretty easy!
Hey Brian, I'm OLD too! LOL
@melissagall9067 🤣🤣
A lot of weather changes that day seemed to get them moving.
@thelonesomefisherman7425 I'm always hoping for some weather changes when we're on Eagle. It always seems to get the muskies revved up!

@thelonesomefisherman7425 Unfortunately, I've seen that same thing play out more than once for us 😕
@@AnglingAnarchy I guess that's why it's called fishing and not catching. 😢
