I ran a Schneider Racing Cam custom 222/230 .578 .586 114 in my old LS2 Corvette. I have a different LS2 Corvette now so very interested in these tests.
I tend to run a little more duration than that I like 234 to 236 intake and 238 to 242 exhaust on a 112 to 114 lsa..110 if you want thump..600 lift on stock heads little more on a good set.
I fitted an 871270 to my freshly rebuilt LS1 with 241 heads, 1-3/4” primary tri-Y extractors and twin 2.5 system. With a rebuilt 4L60E and factory stall convertor it dynoed at 255rwkW at 5850rpm. During the runs there was still some vacuum at wide open throttle and the intake air temp was high due to the air filter in engine bay. I think 260rwkW would have been possible with an OTR/cold air intake. In terms of duration & LSA, the 1270 with 223-228 114 is 'similar' to the 1730. The 1270 has less lift though with 0.580”/0.584”. Good fun in a 1400kg car.
If you liked the 1730, you need to have a look at the 1295 it has less duration & overlap @ 0.006 and has more @0.050 and 0.200 and only down 0.004 & 0.010 on peak lift. Be interesting
That does look like an interesting cam. It would be cool to see if it keeps the better vacume and idle. Would also be interesting to see if the 1730c cam would change much with the tighter lobe seperation angle.
Crow 12fiddyyyyyy just finished mine up at work made 297.8 through a 3200 converter on a roller but it is a fresh ls1 very curious how it would go in this statesman,
Doh - what happened to the 1780 that is shown on the opening graphic ?? really wanted to see how that baby cam fared against the bigger boys .. very awesome content either way mate, the info is gold.
I have the 1212 in my vx calais and couldn’t be happier, it’s perfect 👌🏻
You are doing gods work with ls camshaft testing, thank you for the effort.
Once again confirms David Vizards findings on the LCA being the most important criteria for camshaft selection.
The 1212! Informative video thanks Stathi you weapon!
Loving these cam comparison videos Stathi, appreciate the time and massive effort it takes!!
Will the 1729 be making an appearance? 👀
1212 thank you!
I've got the Crow 1247 in my Stato.
Made 306 kW at the wheels
Would be great to see this sort of testing on a ls3👍
I have 1212 yet to install
Can you review / test gm motorsport cams ? Gm stealth , turbo killer & street racer😊
Thanks so much for this.

I'd like to see you test out the Crow 871270. I'd say it's a mid range cam but I'm interested to see how it compares to the 871249.

Have you ever used the crow 1038 cam? 229/244 .629/.616 114 slightly bigger than the 1287 cam that you use a lot.
Crow 1744 please in the N/A LS please 🙏
Hi have you thought of 871250 camshaft
Can you please review the crow cam 1777
How many kms on the test mule?

Would the extra cubes of the ls3 or l98 help get past needing a stall converter for the 1212?
Would be border line to Mutch
will you review Howard's cams?
No sorry unfortunately there's not enough Australian support
GM turbo killa
I second this GM torquemaster and also turbo killer
Would u recommend the 1730 for a daily without a bigger convertor?
Check out the Btr truck Norris
It will be ok on the stock converter but i would recommend the truck norris for this application
Crow 871777 on a L98 6.0 NA manual
Should have done a 1038
Will you sell any of these slightly used cams?
Yes all of these camshafts are available to purchase at a discounted prices, you will need to call our sales team to see what's available
Does that mean the Crow 1215 would take tto just over 300kW. What is the difference?
Hey mate never used it so I'm not actually sure what it will do
@ love the content, never thought cams could be so interesting.
The measurable test is which cam is faster down the track
That will be the one that makes the best average power.
