- Weekend From Hell In The Forge Complete With A New Welder
What a weekend we had this past week, if it could go wrong, it did. At the end of the day we got quite a bit done in the forge despite all of the issues. I had to invest in a new welder (Titanium Unlimited 200) and so far so good, only time will tell.

Crap comes in 3s so you should be good now! Really curious how the titantium holds up with all the grinder dust. Hope the little heals quickly!
New sub here Dave Wipple sent me great content and looking forward to watching your videos 👊
Good morning, pleasure to meet you. Dave is a class act all the way, what you see on his videos is exactly what he is.
A threepeat of videos Jim thanks for the content hope the little ones arm heals well and the new welder is a good upgrade by the looks of it have a good week 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hello Alex, I even have another to edit!
On the bright side, bad things usually come in three's so you should be done with them for awhile!
Optimism is no good buddy
Looking good buddy
Thanks buddy
Sorry you spent so much on that welder, Jim.. You might have looked at Vevor's offerings. I've seen so many reviews on them, I would have looked in their direction first AND its in the $300 range for almost the same thing you bought. AND you can get the reviews out there first. As for little Marylyn - sorry to hear it but all of us kids break things... even welders, right?
I've run Vevors and wasn't very happy with them to be honest. These Titaniums are actually a very good quality.
Good morning Mr Jim. Always good to add a new piece of shop equipment. I do like choices and flexibility in one unit. I'll be watching how it performs for you might have to swap one out for the old Hobart 175 on my truck. Have a better Monday 🤠
Today was better than the weekend. I'll be using this welder a bunch so we will see.
If it rains it pours, that welder looks really sweet. Everything comes in threes stay safe and looking forward to the next videos.💚💜⚒👩🏭🛠
I'm avoiding all trip hazards this week! That welder works very well.
Your story reminds me of a Rodney Dangerfield skit! This morning i put my shirt on a button falls off, I grabbed my cup coffee the handle broke off, i tell you I was afraid to go to the bathroom! LOL!
That sounds about right
Hope my old Lincoln holds together. Can't afford a new one. When it goes I will get an AC-DC varityl
Same here but I have to have one for the shop. It is what it is I suppose.
Prof Sorry to hear the welder pop, I hope the HF one keeps performing . QQ how much weight is lost in scale when making a knife blank.
You know I'm not sure but we can test it out, now I'm curious.
The new welding forging shop looks great. Enough room to move around but every man wants or needs a bigger shop. Thanks Jim, take care.
I'm really enjoying my setup, it gets better every year.
@TheTradesmanChannel you really have built a fantastic shop! Now you need to get help so you can grow the business. You have had "the boy" in training all his life!
The boy has a girlfriend and got his learner permit for driving today, no good.
@@TheTradesmanChannel then he is going to need to earn gas and date money!
And tell him congrats on both
I know the feeling brother. Some days I'm trying to just get a small job done and it takes longer to go to the store. Nice welder keep us posted, I need to buy one also. I hate spending money.. either that or don't get anything done
I will keep you posted. So far it is very nice, world above my old stick.
Three time's the Charm!
Looks like you do a fair share of grinding. One advantage of a white top, you can see what you are sucking in!
On a plus note .... your A&E seems quicker than ours (Mrs spent 72hrs sitting in a chair before she got in a ward, spent 3 days "Nil by mouth" and then got booted out without any notes so missed her op with the consultant) ...... So count your blessings!
The hospital was fast on this one, that is not our normal here.
@@TheTradesmanChannel "Normal" for our A&E is 4 hrs before treatment!
New welder. I bought a PrimeWeld CT520 D welder about a year ago, August. I turned it on and POP POP and then some smoke. I turn it off and thought for a while, then the same thing plus thick smoke rolled down the sides. I send it back after speaking with someone on the phone. A month later, call them up and they said they never received it. I got the info of them receiving it from UPS and finally got some money back. Two Forneys now.
That is ridiculous
@@TheTradesmanChannel yes
Good morning Jim!
I hope your daughter heals fast.
These things usually come in threes, so you good from now!
Cheers!
Hopefully we're done for a bit. She goes tomorrow to get it set properly. ER doc said it would be fine, ortho... not so much.
@@TheTradesmanChannel I’m very familiar with broken bones;
Right arm radius, ulna broke at the same time jumping my bicycle as a kid
Left arm humerus broken again a bicycle injury
Left arm radius football
Left arm again ulna hockey
All of my ribs cracked or broken, football or off road motorcycles
All of my fingers, football, I played offensive line
Right leg both tibia and fibula compound fracture again football, (that was a bad one!)
Right leg again fibula boot-top fracture skiing
Left leg fibula spiral fracture skiing
Left leg tibia off road motorcycle
But the worst most painful bone I’ve ever broken was…
Left collar bone jumping an off road motorcycle.
That was the worst.
I’m also up to 74 stitches in my lifetime
I have broken many bones in my feet, but they almost don’t count 😜
Your daughter will be fine, another experience in growing up, she will get to have all her friends sign her cast (do they even do that anymore?🤔
Looking forward to the next video, that welder looks like it’s worth the money.
Cheers
I'm sorry to hear about your little girl. I hope she's better soon.
As you said, everything has to get better from here.
She'll be in a cast for a bit but it could always be worse.
Take the old welder take all the copper and melt it into a bar and do a copper inlay Damascus
Funny you say that...
good to see you Jim see you next one for sure
Hello Howard
