Great video. Thanks mucho. FWI I think such a collar was typical during the Elizabethan period and not the Victorian. Think of the illustration on a Dutch Masters Cigar box. Anyway, just my 2 cents.
sorry about that, that's edge > bridge two holes (interactive), so click one open hole, click the other, and when you "pull" it should allow you a little wiggleroom in the shape. Here's another method from Olya: ua-cam.com/video/vsvpdfXJE-Q/v-deo.html
Is there any way to insert an edgeloop both on the inside and outside of an object so that they line up perfectly? Slicing works on simpler objects, but not in cases like this neck ruff.. Thanks in advance!
if you have the same polygroup on the inside and outside, you can use inset > polygroup all > region, or bevel > polyloop, but you'll get 2 lines (so you'll have to collapse them, delete them)...can't think of a real elegant way to just do a single edgeloop off the top of my head!
This is exactly what I would have needed for an aristocratic model years ago. Thanks for showing how it is done!
Awesome tutorial! Helped me out a ton
I wish I could like your videos multiple times, thanks!

How did you do the "Pull" part at 3:30? I can't get mine to curve like yours.
