Nice work Andy! I always learn a lot from your videos like gluing the corners etc. that’s a ton of work for a small box but all necessary for a presentable finished product. Sometimes the customers do not realize the amount of time expended. Thanks as always for sharing your knowledge.
My thoughts exactly! A lot of time expended on this product, but a very high quality end result.
thankyou for making this kind of detail videos l learn many thins form your youtube channel love and support from Pakistan 🇵🇰
Great trick with the grooves for the spring clamps! Also, sanding the edges in supersonic speed 😆
Love your videos as always! Learn something new with every one. What are you using for a workbench? Looks like a full sheet?
Dude! You made it look so fn easy! Question, How deep were the grooves for the squeeze clamps? And what grits/micron were you using?
Thanks. The groves are about 3/16" deep. I used 220 on the flat surfaces and 320 on the edges and radii.
sir I m from India and solid surface fabricator work experience 3 years or carpenter work experience 6 years working Qatar but I m soching for job Europe country very nice video amazing 👌👌👌👌
Have you ever made a Corian cabinet that is my next project I don't have a CNC I have to do everything by hand.
Yes. It would surely be easier with a CNC. Blume makes hinges specifically for Corian.
Hey Andy, thanks for sharing all your amazing videos..
I wanna ask you something, if I wanna join 2 pieces with granite look, is there a unique color of adhesive or for every granite color a specific adhesive?
@@AndyGraves thank you, maybe this subject need a video, it will be very helpfull 😉🙏🏼
I never thought of making cuts for the squeeze clamps!! Totally starting to use that today!! Also thats cheating using a cnc lol Jk 😜
It is cheating, I admit that. :) I also use that same method to attach the cove splash piece and have doing it like that for 20 years. It works great and never breaks. Just don't run the slot through the front of a side splash.
@@AndyGraves i was thinking about using it for the back splash too! Good to know!
Any advice on a GOOD suction handle clamp for handling panels?
Try something like this. They are super strong and we use them to install shower panels.

Great job, but don't you think square corners can collect dirt?
Don't you think it fails to offer the customer the most important feature of the solid surface? What do you think about this? Thanks for this video!
We haven't had an issue with that. It's in the shower so you can just rinse it off.
Choice soap caddies are extremely time consuming to make and not really profitable.
Glue 1" strips on sides as a frame as oppose to one rectangle piece would be less work on the grooves.
That's a great idea for most colors. But on vein materials it just can't be done without the face of the frame having seams in it.
We have since gotten rid of the grooves anyway so now I don't have to send those damn things. People didn't like them. They would collect dirt and soap scum. And they really didn't help move the water off of the shelf.
Is they guy in the "Insider food" wars video your twin? you guys look and sound the same
What are the best glue sticks for glueing down the locating blocks ? I’ve tried several and they all come lose when I clamp it.
No sure what they are called specifically but they are the yellow sticks. Make sure to use the glue really hot, plenty of coverage and keep the clamp really low on the wood block.
Hi Andy I have a Corian sink that is several years old and holding up well but now I am seeing signs of pitting on the sink's bottom surface how to sand down to rid the small scratches?? Thanks for the advice.
Just sand them with a random orbit sander down past the nicks. Sand up to 400 grit and the Scotchbrite.
Any chance you could make a corona farmer’s style apron sink for me? I am looking for a reputable maker
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
hi Andy, our company is looking for solid surface from LG, could you pls offer us some of the companies that we can contact . Thanks
Please what pattern Corian is this niche.
Thank you.
That is fascinating watching you work with Corian. We are remodeling our large mstr shower and hoping to fine a Fabricator in our remote area🤞. Thank you for your amazing "how-to" video.
I have seen chinese corian joint seams going black. What are they doing wrong that after an year you can see all the seams?
I would imagine they are scraping the adhesive flush with the countertop when it's still wet. The adhesive will them shrink into the seam. Dirt gets in the seam and looks black. That's my guess.
My hunch in this case is that the joints may be ill-fitting. The manufacturer recommends a simply perfect fit so that this doesn't happen but it is considered normal for the adhesive to darken over time although I find this a bit absurd. The reality is that the color of the adhesive is different even from the sheet and the behavior of that color over time is also different.
Very informative video.. we need to see more like this if you can.. Thank you so much
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
