Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. (more below) When you add all that up you basically get a person who creates her own auto-tune. She doesn't need electronic auto-tune. She IS her own auto-tune. And the effect when you hear her is totally mind-blowing. It's like she's singing right through you, like a sword straight into your soul. Literally NOBODY else on the planet has a voice like hers. She's not one in a million, she's one in eight billion. Having watched well over 100 initial reactions to her, only one did NOT say she was "unique".

Wonderful reaction! This performance was from a Russian show that aired in the fall of 2021, and ran for 9 weeks. Diana was 18 at this time. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course of the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles.
Diana is 15 years old in the following video, singing a cover of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, giving it a more "tribal" sound. She's a contralto, even at the age of 15, has a unique and otherworldly voice, and a commanding stage presence.
She is performing on the Russian TV show You Are Super, a show for disadvantaged children to display their talents that they otherwise would not be able to.
Diana (dee-ah-na) was abandoned by her abusive mother at the age 3 and placed in an orphanage, diagnosed with cognitive impairment. Her adoptive mother had her enroll in singing lessons to help with some speech problems due to abuse and neglect. Her singing talent was immediately noticed and the rest, as they say, is history.

She has even greater register than what she displayed here, she can go both lower and higher.
Goosebumps are guaranteed when you listen to Diana you will never hear another voice like hers for the simple reason that there is no other Polyphonic Dramatic Contralto around.
She has the voice of the universe and she can do some pretty crazy stuff with it.
If you are impressed by her at the age of 18 then you will burn a fuse when you listen to her at the ages of 14 or 15, i recommend "Wicked game", "Rechenka" or "Human".

I heard today one that had slip my radar.... it was a rendition of a Russian song which Tony Bennett had performed numerous times as "Stranger in Paradise". However, the original song is part of a Russian Opera called "Prince Igor', the song is 'Fly on the wings of the wind'. I literally shook... and I have listened to Diana many many times... She (just like our dear Dimash!) just keeps surprising you with each performance even of the same song!! hahaha... Love her!

DEE ANNA is a Russian singer and is just 18 here. This was her opening performance on the Russian TV show ShowMaskGoOn where the nine participants judge each other's performances. All except Diana, who was by far the youngest, were seasoned professional singers, and the man who stood up at the end is a world famous opera singer married to an even more world famous opera singer. Diana ultimately won the competition. Greetings from Scotland! Diana was 18yo here and is 20yo currently but I've been following her career since she was around 13yo. Diana is a natural Dramatic Contralto so the lower registers are her comfort zone but she has increased her range even more since this. She also naturally sings with polyphonic overtones so it sounds like many voices at the same time! Any song, any genre, in any language, Diana can sing it and improve it! You need a little back story to understand what helped "create" this unique phenomenon:-
Diana's birthmother had multiple miscarriages but when Diana came along, she seemed to hate her. She verbally and physically abused her, trying to drown her and belittle her. It all culminated when (at 3yo) a passing relative found her in her home with a broken collarbone and several other injuries. She went for the authorities who removed Diana from her birthmothers care and placed her in an orphanage. For almost 2 years Diana never gave up hope and she knew that she was meant for something better. (This story is in her Wikipedia entry) Finally her new mother (Irina Ponik, who worked as a masseuse there occasionally) Signed her adoption papers and took her home. She vowed to pay Irina back for her kindness. Irina had a real struggle because Diana had obviously been badly affected by the experiences and at 5yo, she had a very bad stammer. It was recommended that she be taken for singing lessons to help this and immediately it was recognised that Diana had perfect pitch and an excellent ear for music and songs. 1 year later, at 6yo, Diana was performing solo on stage!
This young unique phenomenon sang everywhere and anywhere she could, working constantly to earn money for the family who rescued her. At 13yo she held her 1st solo concert and one of the songs she sang was in a very rare Sephardic Jewish/Spanish dialect, a song called "Me Voy" (I'm leaving) with a power and emotional commitment that staggers belief! ua-cam.com/video/-9_c5fPrqno/v-deo.html
She was already winning every contest in Russia and other countries that she could get to. Then at 14yo Diana took part in an amazing Russian project "You're Super!" for abandoned/disadvantaged children (because Diana spent time in an orphanage) The 1st song she performed shocked the judges and audience so much, it went viral. The background of the song is essential to know. The title of the song is "Ornery (or "Fastidious" or "Finicky") Horses". The song has nothing to do with horses in reality - the horses are being used as a metaphor for life. I would suggest you listening to Dimash (Dimash Qudaibergen) specifially to the song S.O.S (from his original channel please). You seem to be very sensitive to sounds and appreciate the emotion in music and performers. Diana and Dimash in my eyes.. are two of a kind. SOS is a masterpiece on it's own. @@user-zy3hj3lu3y Именно в миноре. Элвис пел в мажоре, там сам строй жизнерадостный, здесь сразу начинается мрачный минор, Диана только усугубляет и в конце превращает в душераздирающую трагедию.
