For those who are wondering about the chorus of this song. These are the shlokas taken from kishkinda kand of Ramayana, It is a series of Sanskrit shlokas recited by Jambavant to Hanuman to remind Him of his true potential. 1. Dhivara, prasara shourya bhaara: The brave persevering one, your bravery is taking you forward. 2. Uthsara, sthira gambheera: The one who is leaping higher and higher, who is firm 3. Ugrama, asama shourya bhaava: He is strong, and without an equal in the ability/ mentality to fight and stable and seriously determined. 4. Roudrama, nava bheetirma: His anger will cause new fears (in his foes). 5. Vijita ripu rudhira dhaara, kalitara shikhara kathora: This is a complex expression seen only in Indic language poetry. The poet is stating that Shivudu is experiencing the intensity of climbing a tough peak, and likening it to the feeling in a hard battle, when you see your enemy defeated, and blood flowing like a rivulet. This is classical Veera rasa. 6. Kulakutara kulita gambheera, jaya virat veera: His rough body itself is like a sharp weapon (because he is determined to win). Hail this complete hero of the world. 7. Vilaya gagana tala bheekara, ghar jhadvaara haraa: The hero is destructive in the airlsky as well (because he can leap at an enemy from a great height). He can defeat the enemy (simply) with his fearsome roar of war. 8. Hridaya rasa kaasaara, vijita madhu paara haara: The poet is saying that he might have been a ferocious warrior (against the mountain) till now, but after his victory, he will become soft hearted. 9. Bhayadaram shav, Vibhava Sindhu: Thesefinal lines are a form of shanti mantra to calm down his excited warrior state of mind, Killer of fear (form of shiva and Shakti together), Ocean of wealth 10. Our great Rishis and Pandits of the past gave us(the people of Bhārat) such a beautiful and powerful language. Our Rishis r really greater than the Modern Scientists.
@@simpleuser6818 I didn't at all disregard Modern Scientists but just said that in those times Rishis were more than Scientists. For example, Allopathy treats the symptoms of the disease with medication whereas Ayurveda is a holistic wellness philosophy. Ayurveda states that a person should have a balanced mind, body, and emotions to be healthy. Hence we don't hear of side effects in Ayurvedic medicine unlike Allopathy. But yes, for the modern way of lifestyle, Allopathy is more suitable. But we can't deny that the best thing for human system is Ayurveda due to it's holistic approach

This is a song which clearly defines why we need a purpose in life. He was not at all able to climb up because he was just trying to do it for fun so he failed multiple climbs , but once he saw/imagined her he found his purpose that she must live up there and he needs to see her untill then he was able to climb up. Tamannah here is his purpose , she is calling him towards herself asking to make the climb. We all are searching for our purposes in life , it's because of them why we are here.
And then she disappears because she doesn't exist in the physical world, just a bunch of butterflies. This means we really don't have a defined purpose in life, in my opinion. Instead, we each live a life catering to the butterfly effect where each decision we make unfolds a future event waiting for us until we die and become fertilizer for the planet.
#Interesting facts :The song Dhivara has some sanskrit parts from Ramayan. I realised that chorus of the song is constant across languages, and I really love the ending verse of above song, so after some searches, I found the meaning. It was apparently said by jambuvan to hanuman in sundarkand in og sanskrit Ramayan to remind him who he is, and is telling him of his abilities encouraging him to go forward.
I don't know how many lives I've had or how many I'll have, but for sure a part of my heart and my love is in India. INDIA, I LOVE YOU. LOVE FROM BRAZIL.. BAAHUBALI FOREVER.
I think the first 30 minutes of this movie did more to convince me of the mythical nature of the story than any of the following movie. The insurmountable waterfall, the towering mountain, and the hero's strength and endurance in both this sequence and the shrine scene earlier both hold a specific kind of importance to the story. They're the hero's first steps, the awakening, the realization of his greater strength and the revelation of his higher destiny. He climbs something akin to olympus itself, leaping more than once almost to his death, and does so without hesitation. It's excellent storytelling, and to frame it through the chase of something immaterial and illusory is a great metaphor. Only by chasing something he couldn't have and didn't know was real did he finally succeed.
Current Bollywood crop of filmmakers with a masked yet obvious hatred for our land's ancient culture and customs will never make anything even remotely close to this, that too in Sanskrit language. Thanks to Bahubali's producers for this creative genius that combines tradition with the modern.

How amazing it is to notice that the positive comments of approval are from different people of different countries and even though some or many of us do not understand the language of "dheevara" music, all of us are deeply touched by this beautiful music and we liked it. This shows the power of music, capable of influencing human emotions and uniting peoples of different backgrounds. This is to say that through music we humans can be united.

After watched Bahubali, it really wakes me up and open my mind about how diverse India is. Never thought that Northern and Shoutern were different. Looking forward for another stunning Southern India movies more. Love from Indonesia! Anyway this song sounds better in Telugu.
Europe has a Population of 700 Million and is made up 44 Nations. India has a Population of 1300 Million and is made of 16 Ancient Nations (Kingdoms) that existed before they all united to become India in 1947 :) In Baahubali movie, they show only 2 Kingdoms - Avanti Kingdom (Maahismati, its Capital city) and the small kingdom of Kuntala (The Small Kingdom where Baahubali finds the Princess Devasena). Anwyays, Thanks. We would love to see similar movies made about South East Asia, We Indians know very little about History of Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Thailand. The chorus of this song uses the shlokas taken from Sundarkand of Ramayana. It is a series of Sanskrit shlokas recited by Jambavant to Hanuman to remind Him of his true potential.
The brave persevering one, your bravery is taking you forward.
The one who is leaping higher and higher. who is firm and stable and seriously determined.
He is strong, and without an equal in the ability/mentality to fight
His anger will cause new fears (in his foes).
This is a complex expression seen only in Indic language poetry. The poet is stating that Shivudu is experiencing the intensity of climbing a tough peak, and likening it to the feeling in a hard battle, when you see your enemy defeated, and blood flowing like a rivulet. This is classical Veera rasa.
His rough body itself is like a sharp weapon (because he is determined to win). Hail this complete hero of the world.
The hero is destructive in the air/sky as well (because he can leap at an enemy from a great height). He can defeat the enemy (simply) with his fearsome roar of war.
The poet is saying that he might have been a ferocious warrior (against the mountain) till now, but after his victory, he will become soft hearted.
These final lines are a form of shanti mantra to calm down his excited warrior state of mind. Killer of fear (form of shiva and Shakti together), Ocean
of wealth
Now content after reaching his goal (end of a tough journey), and that his battle is now over, troubles or injuries are going away

True

That scene where he jumps off the cliff and shoots the arrow into the tree branch ... Sheer goosebumps 😮😮❤
True
