In another video you did, you said you wanted him to goto bedroom & wake you. You can do that. Make routine that at 8 am he'll go to bedroom, set vol. to 7, & announce "Time to wake up" or play music or anything else that will annoy you enough to get up
Yes, routines can do a lot of things. You can't create new routines through voice though, and you can't set a one-time alarm that includes the instructions to go somewhere, that's what I was referring to. It understands all the instructions individually, I just wish that Astro could understand them all together.
I understand, voice commands have A ways to go. Have you seen the routine I set up to have him answer the door when doorbell is pressed? I made another triggered by a voice command.@@LukeofAllTrades.
I've made several routines triggered by voice, but I don't use them much. I also have one that has Astro find someone when the mail comes, and announces "the mail is here." That one's kinda fun.
Gr8 idea to be able 2 access periscope camera in the routines. Have you suggested that to the team through the Astro app? I did create A routine to have him answer the front door for me when the doorbell is pressed & send A note to my phone, but of coarse it don't record it.
I have suggested dozens of things through the app, but since I've never gotten a single response of any sort, I decided a public UA-cam video might be another good way to make those requests! I like that routine!
Do you have to use the app for Astro? I live in Canada, the app is unavailable, although it can be obtained, how useful is Astro without the app? Is it absolutely needed for set up?
I don't remember if it's absolutely required for setup, a lot of it is done through Astro's screen. But without the app you miss out on being able to edit your map, use the Live View, and you wouldn't be able to turn off patrol mode. So yes, the app is pretty critical.

Seems like you're a first generation tester.. lol need a device that will work with steps. This seems to be designed for single floor homes.
Yup, definitely a first generation device. And absolutely for a single floor at the moment, although aren't most robot vacuums the same?

@@alchemyhouse This is not a vacuum, but I was remarking that I don't know of any robot vacuums that can move between floors on their own.
