I have to respray my car this winter again, it’s been 2 years

You should taken the wheel liners out and sprayed behind them. You also should have sprayed inside the holes of the frame rails to protect the inside of it. Your car can still rust from the inside out by moisture, salt and other stuff getting behind and into them.

Thanks for stopping by! I will definitely go back before the winter and do some touch up spraying! Thanks for some great advice!

I've done my Mercury with PB shield. Works well, I spray everything. Rhode island has. The same rust issues. This stuff works great! Keep up the good fight.

Basically did the same thing with Fluid Film before PB was a thing. I did my 04 tow car and live in Upstate NY. I'd recommend getting behind the fender liner on the front somehow. They love to rust around there along with the gas cap area. Also keep the tires under the car for a safeguard in case the stands fail.

Thanks for stopping by, those are great tips. I’ll have to get back behind the liner one of these days. Interesting enough jersey had probably the mild this winter I have seen in the past eight years no real snow, storms or even snow sticking to the ground. My dad always told me put the tires under the car and no matter how many jacks or jackstands you have. 👍🏼

    Yo Art,
What a great idea removing the wheels to give you better, easier access to do this.
When you don't have a lift it makes it a whole lot easier to crawl around under the car, and also provide better lighting so you can see what you're doing.
You under carriage looks pretty darn good for your location, and mileage. Glad you kept your original 16" wheels, it's always nice to hang on to original parts if you have the storage space.
    Good work.
    Good video.
Top notch audio / video quality as always. Lol

Thanks Chuck! Crawling around under the car is not bad, it’s the next day that I realize I’m not 18 anymore and my body is sore!

I will have to do a 2 week update! I’m glad I did this video and the application of the Blaster! Because literally yesterday December 23rd here in Jersey we had a small snow fall come through and the roads were wet and sprayed with the white salt chemical. I will do a follow up! Thanks for stopping by!

Double check on the tire rotation. Usually just front to back with radials. Otherwise the tires can get weird.

Any prep work that needs to done? my truck already has rust on the frame.

    • @LoveWhatYouDrive
      @LoveWhatYouDrive Місяць тому +2

One thing, actually two things that I would do. If there is rust already, then try to get some of it off. Grind it off wire brush it off that way the spray can attach to the metal and not the rust. The other thing that I would do is pressure wash it if you can get under there, I did pressure wash my car because we had and I almost streets were flooded so I felt as if my undercarriage was pretty clean and my car is a Washington state car so there was really no rust there. But this year I’m planning to take some more care do some wire brushing And pressure washing before reapplying this protectant.

Next year you could do a Fluid Film comparison. I found out about that stuff for my lawn & garden equipment because it's non-toxic for grass & bushes & trees.
But I hear Fordtechmakuloco loves the stuff.

@@LoveWhatYouDrive Yes I did a test last winter outside with both , fluid film was mostly gone in spring with rust spots , surface shield was perfect. I bought a new 21 SuperDuty and did a very thorough job before it's first Michigan winter . I hated spraying goop all over my pretty trucks belly but glad I did .

Hey thanks for stopping by. I do t think you will have a problem with spraying the clamps. I got some overspray on the exhaust pipes and on the catalytic converters and it smelled while burning off but no harm was done. Anything that will get hot will just end up burning off
