What a really like about this video is that you capture the noise and the vibe. Even those of us with a dozen or more countries on our "I've biked there" lists understand that India is not for beginners...
Another awesome film 🤘🏾 Love your smile in those selfies haha! Great photos love the one of the guys in the field. I look forward to the next one and jealous as ever
My social anxiety won’t allow me to tour India 😅 to many peopleand too much attention, too loud, too chaotic and too much noise! I would not be able to handle it, glad I can see vicariously through you 😂 cheers from Norway 🇳🇴
I agree Nepal is much better in that. You get plenty calm areas where chaos and noise pops up only sometimes for a short moment and then as you move on you'd find yourself back in silence again. Can only highly recommend Nepal. People are really some of the nicest on this planet and the food is also soooo good 😊
Went down the rabbit hole with your awesome videos! As an Indian who grew up in Georgia (USA), I can relate to your never ending selfie requests when I visit my family back in Delhi. I never had a bike adventure in India but, I do many bikepacking trips here in the North Georgia mountains. Cheers, Mate!! Keep the great content rolling..
As a thumb rule, IndianOil petrol pumps can be your campgrounds. They are told to allocate their parking spaces for truck drivers. But if you request them nicely, they might allow you.
India seems like it would be an incredibly intense experience for a bike tourer. It's something I think I would really struggle with, but that just makes me think I have more reason to go there. It's important to get outside of your comfort zone.
That was awesome, funny. But I was stressed from the lack of privacy only from the watching. It's sad, one cannot find a place to rest in a tent in India :(
Interesting video, looks like chaos on the roads there, must be a bit annoying when people stop you for selfies and you just want to carry on with your journey. Looking forward to the next episode, stay safe !!!
Dude...really? :D man thats so funny. Did they charge you for the night in the restaurant? Hope you're doing fine mate. See you hopefully somewhere on the road :)
@@MONKEYON2WHEELSin fact yes, I was a bit annoyed because I felt that I had extra charges on everything...nothing new. Yep, I'm sure we will cross paths again. :)
India is so weird for me as a westerner. Every time I go the I make sure to have a safe place to stay with some privacy. I felt your experience. Ganga ma ki jaya
You can ask first at any dhaba that if you eat at there restaurant would they allow you to pitch a tent somewhere around the restaurant for the night ,mostly they should be ok with that as they have earned some money from you Many bike packers in India do that . Try if it works out for you . Do visit kaza , leh, Manali( u can pitch tent anywhere )if your still up north . If your planning around south (Goa ,Kerala) then monsoon opens up big time there be careful. Enjoy india 🇮🇳 cheers!
When did u came to Varanasi? I visited in may and stayed in the same hostel (live free). Next time Pls do visit southern India, it’s less chaos and friendly ppl
Camping in India? Seriously? It would seem to me a crazy idea as: 1. You will be constantly pestered by spectators. 2. There really are not many places to practicslly camp. 3. The fixed accommodation in hotels or lodges is just SO cheap to get very good rooms.
the celebrity / center-of-attention aspect is so funny to me! I had no idea they would be so curious about white folks on bikes! lol & to take pictures no less! Really was revealing for someone who doesn't get to travel.
@@MONKEYON2WHEELS Thanks for the quick reply. Did you find that to be enough for the off road trip in Nepal? I personally have 700x45 and would like to do something similar :)
I think India has some nice places up in the north Manali/Leh and the far north east. Probably there are more places where it could be nice but there is certainly a lot of places that create more stress than joy.

Yes definitely more on the tougher side :D
thanx man for sharing your journey with us .

to get rid of social anxiety you must visit india! Just by travelling through India you will be cured of mental illnesses from the West.

Yeah as a western tourist you get no privacy. It gets mentally draining after a while. Especially if you're naturally more introverted.
Welcome again in India sir.
Welcome back to India and countless selfies 😅😅 love to see someone exploring India on bicycle 🚲.
Come to Kerala ( south india ), have been watching your videos since long time
Brilliant as always.
Good to see exploring india...waiting for your next video eagerly 👍
Yay a MO2W video to chill to while the patellar tendonitis and giardia subside, then south twd Bolivia
Ahhh damn, speedy recovery. Had Giardia a few years ago in Georgia and Armenia. I know how it feels. Fingers crossed

3. Yes
Still its for me some sort of habit, thats my first natural approach for the night is to try and camp :D But you're right tho
Hahaha it made me laugh remembering the traffic of India hahaha, nice video man!
I believe if one survived cycling in India, one would be prepared for everything :D

What is name and model of your bicycle,
Can you please tell me.
Name: Rosinante
Brand: Kuwahara
Model: Cheetah (1989)
✌️
@@MONKEYON2WHEELS thanks a lot 🙏
Good luck 🤞
The guy who tried to ride Eriks bike...he put on his sweaty helmet...and I'm in front of my computer: DON'T DO THAT! But anyway, it was to late
😅
🤣 he didn't mind
What tire size and width do you use on your touring bike ? :)
2" width on 26" size ;)
