    I have to say, you offer the very best info I've found in the physio/mobility area. Straight to the point, detailed (and love your exercise demos too). Thanks so much for putting this online!

    I've been getting steroid injections to both hips every 3-4 months for 2 years. I really just don't want surgery. I just started your Hip Arthritis Program. Wish me luck.

    Thank you Dr David for all your great videos, I got x-ray guided steroid injection in my hip by my surgeon last May, it was completely painless and it worked brilliantly for nearly 4 months, then as it was wearing off in the next 2 months, the pain was coming back a lot worse than it had been pre injection, I was brought back in January for another steroid injection, only this time it was one of the surgeons team performed it, it was excruciating, I kept waiting for it to ease, but it felt like someone was twisting my leg around at the hip, I got terribly upset and was crying, and had dreadful pain for the rest of the day, how could the 2 injection experiences be so different!!??😭 It was also unsuccessful, a waste of time. My review is in mid July, my surgeon told me I could have my THR after 6 months so hopefully ASAP after that as my quality of life is pretty bad now

      I am so sorry for the pain you go through. I am scheduled to have the "first injection" today. I am afraid! I now learned through this video that this is simply a somewhat temporary solution, as THR is most likely what will happen to me. Severe Osteoarthritis my MD told me. I still have to follow his guidelines and the insurance recommendation for my treatment in order for them to pay for this. I'm stuck. And I know it. But I sympathize with your experience and what your pain is like, as I feel the same way. Unbearable, crippling and crying out in pain is my only resolve. Feels like once you're older, you're automatically the MD's meal ticket and insurance has the right to run your life after 65.

    You're right. Steroid injections made me worse. I found some relief with prolotherapy, PRP, and even acupuncture. Nothing fixed me completely. Thanks for making these videos. And exercise is so important to avoid muscle weakness 😊

    Dr. Middaugh, what are your thoughts on prolotherapy? Honestly I’ve found PRP and HA to be most helpful. But recently started the Hip Recovery program and addressing the real issue! You and my ortho doc are on the same page 😀 She always emphasizes glute and core strength. Thanks for all you do!

    Had an ultra sound guided steroid injection into the right hip bursa and it didn't make one iota of a difference haha I was so disappointed but after learning from your wealth of information I realise I was looking for the quick fix and typically treating excruciating symptoms rather than flexing my butt muscles more than my quads. I'm up for the task of getting out of hip surgery by following your advice :)

      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  8 місяців тому +1

      Hi Miracle, we will forward your message to Dr. David so that he may consider it for future content. Dr. David has considered it before and we do not that he thinks it can be helpful temporarily. It is more important to fix the root cause which in most cases is the abs and glutes but mostly the glutes.

      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy Thank you for your consideration! I have watched a bunch of your videos, started to do some of the exercises, and also sighed up for your Hip Arthritis Recovery Program. Curious about acupuncture as being part of overall treatment program like using a pain cream, supplements, as well as exercising those glutes.
      Thanks again.

    I’ve been told by a chiropractor my left leg is shorter than the other, I also probably have EHLERS danlos syndrome, I hurt my hip by slipping on moss and my left leg went sky high into the air but caught myself before falling and that was 5 months ago, I was hoping it would get better over time but it has only gotten worse will your exercises help people with a stretched out muscle or ligaments, my Psoas muscle seems to be involved. I feel like I have hip instability, last year I had neck instability and it affected my eyes and I couldn’t drive, I got PROLOTHERAPY with PRP injections, and after about 4 months of monthly injections it worked. But that cost about 10,000.00 dollars and now I’m broke, help

    Hi, I am scheduled for hip injection today. It's my first one after being diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis. The pain, I bet you know the amount I'm talking about, is making me wish to die at times! Most of my adult life I have managed with multiple replacement surgeries of knee joints, shoulder, spinal fusions and Trigger finger of both hands. I am afraid of this injection, specifically as I am a diabetic. And short-term relief with this injection is not what I have in mind. I am starting to think, umm, realizing that I am winding up getting the (right) hip replaced too. That would be in line with severe Osteoarthritis in my case. My concern is for my diabetes (Type II) and just "let's try this, let's try that." I am a lab rat, medication sampler. I am 65 now and is there hope for me with this injection I fear so much?

    I tried prp injections twice. They didn’t do anything for me. I was doing lots of physio and specific gym exercises at the same time. In fact it felt worse I could not take ibuprofen for 3 months. 😢. Next I’m going for steroids as the pain is wearing me out. I do daily exercises and squeeze my butt muscles as much as I remember.

      Hi Mdiddyful, thanks so much for the kind words! The hip arthritis program can help with hip labraum tears but there are exercises that you will not be able to do without modifications. If you decide to move forward with the hip arthritis program we do highly recommend booking coaching sessions with our program specialist to assist you.
