Developers creating data-driven enterprise applications often spend considerable time crafting SQL queries to access data tables. With increasingly complex AI-powered applications this process is becoming more complex and time-consuming. The APEX 24.1 release enables developers to craft and maintain SQL from a natural language prompt. You simply tell APEX what kind of data you need to retrieve and in what format, and the APEX AI Assistant creates the necessary SQL. And if you have additional requests, the conversational interface allows you to fine-tune that request. If you have existing SQL, the APEX AI Assistant can also help explain how it works, and how you can fine-tune it further. And if you introduce an error, the APEX AI Assistant can help you fix it. This demo shows how all of these capabilities work, to create the most efficient SQL in the shortest amount of time.

So basically you need OPENAI or COHERE accounts in order to use the APEX ASSISTANT? OR THE NEW GENERATIVE ORACLE AI THAT IS BASICALLY ANOTHER COHERE MODEL? why not use cohere or openai directly? thanks

is APEX AI Assistance is available for developers ? I have Apex 24.1 on 23ai , I don't see AI Assistance . Thank you

I noticed you have an option to configure generative AI in workspace utilities and application properties too. They prompt you to choose a generative AI provider there (like OpenAI) and enter the credentials there. Didn't test it yet, though.
