The Wheel of Time series is worth sticking with, even though in some of the later books Robert Jordan goes out of his way to avoid returning to the main story for as long as possible. It would be like if Tolkien stopped right before the battle of Helms Deep to give us two books on the rising price of fish in Bree and then another on Galadriel's husband's skincare routine.

I used to just read one book at a time but ever since I started reading multiple books at the same time, I realized that it's more fun and interesting to switch up the stories I'm reading once in a while. ☺️ Our brains are amazing. I never thought that my brain would be capable of rewiring to continue a book's story once I resume reading it after reading a diff one a few hours or a day ago.
I was the same as you when I had to study Renaissance plays! I discovered that a really good way to get through them is to get a friend or two, divide up all the roles between you and do a dramatic reading of it out loud over the course of a couple days. It's obviously ideal if it's all people from the class, but I've also had friends agree to do it just because we were all theatre nerds. I understood the plays a lot better doing it and when you start doing silly voices to distinguish your characters it's a lot of fun!
As a booktuber myself, let me appreciate the amazing edit and the addicting quality content, besides your amazing coherence when dealing with literally any type of book 🌼❤
I've been dealing with a lot of dissociation and anxiety lately and your vlogs really give me so much strength, it feels so good to remind ourselves of how beautiful the world is even when we cannot recognize it clearly. A shiver went down my spine after seeing the opening sequence of the video. I have never experienced/seen snow, but this was the closest I came to experiencing it. I was transported there right beside her, contemplating that how a video can also make you experience something so much intense and calming as the scene presented in that sequence, having never experienced such in real life, how it connects the experiences of two people who have never (and maybe never will) seen each other. It's just so surreal. I haven't watched the full video yet but god I'm enchanted by the start. Thanks a lot from the bottom of my heart.

Hope you feel less "lost" now. I had that feeling my entire life until I was 20 when I had my first child. I now have 3 children and I am 28. I just know this was what my calling was. The only thing that made me feel whole is having my children. Sometimes we don't always know where our true happiness lies until it happens. Trust me, it will all fall in to place. ☺️ X

I need to get going then, because I had wanted to read along with you somewhat. Glad I kept the first book or two with me just in case. I will say that I was expecting it to start very Lord of the Rings-esque since, if I recall correctly, part of Robert Jordan's inspiration was starting in the same place as Lord of the Rings and then writing it how he thought it would happen if it were in the real world. Or something like that, but he was very clear that he was purposely being reminiscent of, and influenced by, Tolkien.
i read the eye of the world last year and even though i knew it was inspired by lotr i wasn't expecting it to be THAT similar lol, personally it didn't bother me plus i heard it was intentionally that way and later on in the series jordan starts to diverge from what tolkien did. can't wait to continue reading and i hope you enjoy it too!

OMG. You started The wheel of Time. I need to get going then, because I had wanted to read along with you somewhat. Glad I kept the first book or two with me just in case.
I will say that I was expecting it to start very Lord of the Rings-esque since, if I recall correctly, part of Robert Jordan's inspiration was starting in the same place as Lord of the Rings and then writing it how he thought it would happen if it were in the real world. Or something like that, but he was very clear that he was purposely being reminiscent of, and influenced by, Tolkien.
i read the eye of the world last year and even though i knew it was inspired by lotr i wasn't expecting it to be THAT similar lol, personally it didn't bother me plus i heard it was intentionally that way and later on in the series jordan starts to diverge from what tolkien did. can't wait to continue reading and i hope you enjoy it too!

Nothing says cozy winter vibes like hot cocoa and a good book. I love winter but I hate being cold. I am familiar with getting a ton of snow when I lived in northeast Ohio.
