2024 04 14 Limni Zirou Koronisia Panagia Trivilou (part 5 till Moni Panagias)

We are leaving behind Ioannina and head south towards our base, but before, we do have 3 other stops we should make. The fisrt is Ziros Lake, or Zirou Lake, peaceful sceenery near Filippiada, next the most scenic island in Amvrakikos Gulf, a complex of little islets connected with the main land with one narrow strip of land, called Koronisia. Yes, we do have something like Florida Keys in small scale in Greece. Then, as we do not want to travel back on Sundays, we decide to spend one night at a hotel near Nafpaktos and the next day visit a promissing Moanstery of Panagia Prosiliou Trivolou (Virgin Mary of Prosilio Trivolou). Then, following almost the same route backwards, we head back to base through Amfiklia.
Αφήνουμε πίσω τα Γιάννενα και κατευθυνόμαστε Νότια προς την βάση μας. Ομως έχουμε ακόμα 3 προορισμούς να επισκεφθούμε. Πρώτα πρώτα την Λίμνη Ζηρού. Ενα ήρεμο σκηνικό κοντά στην Φιλιππιάδα, μετά τα πιο θεαματικά νησάκια στην μέση του Αμβρακικού κόλπου. Ενα σύμπλεγμα νησίδων που συνδέονται με την στεριά μέσω μιας στενής λωρίδας γής και λέγονται Κορωνησία. Εχουμε κι εμείς στην Ελλάδα κάτι σαν τα Keys της Φλόριντα, σε μικρή κλίμακα! Κατόπιν, επειδή δεν θέλουμε να επιστρέφουμε Κυριακές, αποφασίσζουμε μια διανυκτέρευση στην Ναύπακτο. Την επομένη ξεκινάμε για το τελυταίο σκέλος, αφού πρώτα επισκεφθούμε ένα μοναστήρι στις πλαγιές της Γκιώνας, που ονομάζεται Παναγία Προσηλίου Τριβολού. Τέλος ακολουθώντας σχεδόν τον ιδιο δρόμο αντίστροφα, μέσω Αμφίκλειας, επιστρφουμε στην βάση μας.
