Ahh. It seems like some really complicated wave-dash looking thing, but if I understand it correctly, you're really just angling so you can quick-boost at the target while assault-boosting, but since you cant QB directly forward, you look to one side to QB "diagonally" where you want to go. Have I got it? Really really cool, thanks for teaching!
Yes exactly. Figured this out while trying to figure out how to angle myself during AB strafes so that my side boosters were pointing as backward as possible, so they propel me as forward as possible. That's all you have to do - start an AB strafe, and while the side boost jet is active, rotate your AC so that the jet is pushing you in the direction you want to go. Very simple tech.

Hey Takka. I'm a tank player on console. I was previously using Xuan Ge and Traenos.
Since I've adopted your builds (and playstyle) I've seen a lot of success.
However, my main issue is rifle kites and swapsters. Any tips?
Lethaldose (i.e. 2x majestic 2x fasan) is a losing matchup vs rifle kites. Game's tracking system does not allow you to hit often enough to reliably take them down. Something that can help, though, is timing the fasans for when the kite touches the ground to recharge en. You have to fire early to account for the stancing delay so the shots are arriving on target as the enemy touches the ground. Then even if you miss, you still get some splash dmg. I have a variant called tomahawk which swaps one of the fasans for soup missiles - does way way better against kites because you can control their movement with constant pressure from soup and tag them with majestics + fasan while they're avoiding the missiles. Either way though, when you get AP lead, force them to chase you. Do not play their stupid game, they want you to chase them. Rifle kites have like no offensive power, so get the AP lead then just rat them. They are much worse at dodging when they have to use a bunch of their thrust to cross distance too, so it becomes easier to tag them with dmg and keep the AP lead when they're forced on the offensive. Swappers are hard, boat struggles vs cqc. You have two options: 1) skybox yourself (works especially well on maps with high ceiling like LOC), so they burn all their energy up getting close to you then have no en left to dodge. You should almost never bother trying to zook people who are ABing, the targetting system will almost never land those shots. Wait for them to stop ABing then zook them while they're out of energy. 2) sit on the ground, bait them to rush you, then fire both charged fasans straight down at the ground when they're in your face. This does about 50% more impact than AA and 3.2 times as much damage. There's a video on my channel called "Better AA than AA" that shows off this trick. Good luck, my friend o7
@realArisawaHeavyInd Thanks a whole lot. I was stomping people before, but my biggest hurdle was chasing people. My movement was already okay, but with your builds it feels insane what I can do. Now I'm fighting these heavier ACs who just spam lasers and I want to tear my eyes out LMAO.
I'm also not the best sniping with Fasans, though I'm improving I think. I've done exceptionally well and my unga bunga brain salutes your passion to the big meaty playstyle.
