Love this episode - dealing with that stuff and pushing on - my friend, a drummer, lost four fingers on the left hand three years ago. We joked that he could just switch to keyboards because as a bass player, no keyboardist needs to do much with the left hand. We had joked about that before the accident because of a certain keyboardist wobbled all over the bass notes pretty much stepping on every note I’d play. - thing is, he figured out he could still hold a stick in his left hand and now is back drumming and has built up his drum collection all over again.
im watching this a year after watching and i didn’t realize how much of an impact that had on me. from the reminders app that ian talked about to organizing my calendar at the beginning of the week, this video has helped me so much. who knew two bald bass players in their forties would inspire so much.
I try to be organised now more then ever. I use the kitchen calendar to keep my life organised and my wife happy with my saying yes to everything problem. Years ago I was double booked for 2 gigs on the same night in 2 diffent towns 2hrs apart . Thankfully my mates are amazing and covered me till I got to the 2nd gig. And it’s never been an issue
Ian, you are a tremendous listener man! Good job, I think the big bass-man Scott needed this talk very very badly..with some training you would be a great therapist (no pun intended)
Had to like the video after the first twenty seconds!! Haha!! Firstly: Could I please request an episode about bass amps? I would love to know more about them! Second: Scott, please watch out with the coffee. It sounds like you might be over the recommended daily limit. From a healthcare perspective, you should really avoid drinking more than four cups a day. Take care, brother! Third: I agree. Super emotional and cathartic.
Thanks for sharing. 💛
This was really different and interesting.
Cant believe Scotts meetings are purple like mine. 😂

My wife and I ended up crying with this podcast. Loved it so much.
So this was recorded on Tuesday the 8th of February 2022. Hope Scott was able to get with his brother in the past month.
