I love how chill and normal Kat Von D is! She is the type of person who has celebrity status, but is a very normal person like the rest of us! Her house and shoes remind me of grandma, but not in a bad way. My grandma was very beautiful, and she stayed young until she passed at the age of 80. She would go to thrift stores to find clothes and shoes to clean up and add to her collection, and her house was decorated kind of burlesque'ish, very much like a museum or artists home. She'd say she couldnt leave the house without her eyebrows or lipstick, and was a firn believer in longwear products and old fashioned, simple skin care. She loved her cold cream!

You've got to admire Kats sense of style. It's not so much about glitz, glamour, what's cool, but for her its all about art. Artistry in everything she does and everything she owns. She had to be an ancient roman engineer in a past life or something because that woman exudes art and philosophy in everything she does.

Kat's makeup line is absolutely insane. Crazy long lasting, crazy pigmented. You know how every makeup girl has a favor brand? SHE'S MY FAVORITE BRAND! Not to mention how down to earth, thoughtful and just absolutely sweet she is. I was watching Miami Ink the other day, it was an episode from 2006 and I was like holy shit Kat's just always been crazy sweet to people. You and her sound like you could be best friends! Well she’s a celebrity now, but I mean she started as a normal tattoo artist who loved her work and was just really talented. So ya know, she’s probably just the same person she’s always been, but with cooler shoes
kat has always been one of my favorite people in this world. she is sooo humble and sweet. I met her once, when she was berly getting well known to everyone, she was heading to a movie theater with her then husband, we asked for a picture with her, her then hubby seemed annoyed because they were I guess running late for a movie, so me and my family felt bad, but she went out of her way to take a picture with us anyway, and we apologized for bugging but she made sure we knew it was okay, she even said thanks for taking a photo with her! she is honestly the sweetest person, and look almost 10 years later she is still the same! I love her, please support this woman in anything she does, she is seriously amazing, I luv ya kat!!!!!

When she gave you the shoes - I actually did that weird "shake" that children do when they're excited. Gad... Those looked amazing on you though. Like in a major way.
