What a treat to see all this patriotic decor. One thing that always catches my eye in your kitchen tours is your curtains. They remind me of the Red Lion Inn Country Curtains. That company is no more but I used to get their catalogs and then I’d make my curtains using some of their choices. I also used to get Robison Wallpaper samples and used them on the backs of things I’d frame. Sadly that company is no more either but gosh those were the best days for me. Today I get my inspiration from watching UA-cam. Jean, I’m not sure what you use for potting soil in your container gardens but I mix my own soil using a potting soil mix, composted manure and peat. I use this same mixture in the holes while direct planting in the ground which helps with moisture retention. I usually only have to water about every 3 days unless it’s extremely windy and then I’m pulling a hose or filling watering cans about every other day. One bag of potting soil to 1/2 bag of manure and the same amount of peat. I mix this up in my wheel barrow and I move along the yard doing my thing. I have about 45 tomato plants in 5 gallon buckets along with peppers and those buckets hold moisture pretty good. In the ground I dig my holes big enough to be able to add about a 1/2 to 1 gallon of the mixed soil with my new plants. I only mention this because it sounds like you are spending a great deal of time watering and thought maybe in future gardening seasons you might be interested in trying this. I also reuse my container soil from year to year mixing 2 buckets(or more) with newly mixed soil. When I have extra then I top dress my in ground plantings after they are secured in the ground much like mulching. It’s been a timesaver for my watering chores. It is easier but much more expensive. I think next year I’m going to try your mixture. Do you use the potting soul with fertilizer or do you add your own or does the manure suffice? There’s so many things I liked but that Buttercup Cream jar was my favorite. I remember selling Rosebud salve as a child for 50 cents each. I still use it on my lips in the strawberry flavor. 😊

I found some budget-friendly decorations today. At Walmart $1.98 6 flocked stars with spray. Then at our Aldi , a star & gnome garland for $4.99. I don't care for gnomes but at a distance or if you don't have your glasses on they look like ice cream cones😅😅. ❤🤍💙 Thank you for your hard work Jean.

Ed’s surgery might have to be postponed. 😳😩We have to go to have him more testing tomorrow morning. Meanwhile the house goes on the market July 1. I managed to find one very small cute Annalee elf holding two firecrackers . My test is on the 26 th the day bf Ed’s scheduled surgery. Tomorrow we will find out if he can have it or not . This is becoming a nightmare , but l trust , sometimes when things don’t happen as planned , it’s for a reason .

You have so much seasonal decor and still you remember where and when you got everything! You’re sharp! I have a lot less decor than you and I forget what I have used in the past. Thank you so much . Most things I can still remember where they came from😊. Lots of the breakables are stored in the cupboards, in closets and drawers. Some seasonal pieces I pack in totes, in trunks, in boxes, in crocks. I’ve been lucky and have rarely broken anything. Love and blessings ❤️💙🇺🇸💙❤️

Thank you so much . Most things I can still remember where they came from😊. Lots of the breakables are stored in the cupboards, in closets and drawers. Some seasonal pieces I pack in totes, in trunks, in boxes, in crocks. I’ve been lucky and have rarely broken anything. Love and blessings ❤️💙🇺🇸💙❤️
