It is! Netrunnerdb.com is a great place to start for decklists, and though you might need to print multiple sets of cards, it might be worth it to get a pull-and-play Netrunner kit.
As a long time player, and notorious deck tinkerer, I can confirm. I’ve built plenty of dubious decks that were totally viable (and fun!) in casual play
I've not had much luck convincing friends to play, so keep that in mind when considering the value of my opinions. It is pretty easy to make decks that are reasonably equal in strength, but play very differently. In Startup (which is all the Nisei cards to date, running about $200 to print), you have 12 Corp identities across 4 factions and 12 Runner Identities across 3 factions.. You could make a deck for each of the 4 Corp factions and 3 Runner factions that are very different from each other. The problem you will run into is that there are some important neutral cards (cards that don't belong to any faction) that you only have enough of for one deck. The answer is proxies. Sleeve your cards. Use less useful cards for backs, and slide in a thin bit of paper with the proxied card's info. I wish Nisei would create a Neutral Booster kit with some of the most commonly used cards (like Hedge Fund). Or just a deck with Nisei backs and blank fronts that you could write on.
Hope someone who knows reads this. I live in the UK and want to get into this game, but cant preorder the remastered System Gateway or Update 2021 sets. The site literally ships everywhere but the UK for some reason. No idea why. I checked the seller theu recommend the Null Signal site and it says they are out of stock. I contacted them today - 17 July 2023 and am waiting for a response. If anyone can give any advice on how I can get a pack of official remastered starter cards in the UK, I would appreciate all the info I can get. Thank you in advance.
@@matthewbarker9134 I actually did get a reply eventually, 3 months later. They said they were awaiting stock and would get back to me, but I never heard from them again. Thank you so much for the info. Will have another look. Has anything changed or is the Remastered Gateway and Update 2021 sets the way to go for a beginner? Appreciate it.
@mazamonx I think they are defo the way to go. There's no rulebook included, but you can get a pdf of the ffg manual, and the company behind system gateway made a video for new players. Newbies might struggle if they don't have a veteran to show the ropes, or at least one dedicated member of their group willing to do the reading and translate for everyone else.
Hey Alejandro! Netrunner is an asymmetrical game, meaning that one player must play the Corp and the other player the runner. After one wins, you can switch sides (which would be a "match"). Does this answer your question?
Nisei Netrunner could use a couple semi-detailed how to play videos. If only someone would record a Corp and Runner video that demonstrates the rules, using current cards from Startup. That person would have to love the game, and have a quality setup. If only there was such a person on UA-cam. *wink wink nudge nudge*
Oh, Sap... I'd LOVE to do the official Nisei HtP video. I know for a fact that they're looking for someone, but to their credit, I'm positive they'd want a non-ciswhite male to do it. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though! :)
I just dont care for the art style it looks like someone tried to take the punk out of cyberpunk i still have all of my cards from the og set from the 90s better art and better gameplay

Different artwork, possible changes in text, templating, and iconography.
