The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

I could listen to Keely all night long.
Great seeing Keely breaking character and enjoying herself while still singing with those great pipes of hers.
I'm 38 and i'm on a binge of Louis. Thanks AEW and MJF for singing Pennies from Heaven and opening my ears.
Keely’s voice was always special.
I'm 60, now an adult according to my husband 😆
I first saw Louis Prima & Keely Smith on Ed Sullivan Show reruns. They are grest!!
This was the best of live TV including ad libs. Louie Prima carried the whole act.
I would beg to differ that he has some help from Keely
Magic when Keely Smith laughs and smiles!
Louis and Keely at there Jovial best - The band as tight as ever - easy to see why they were the King and Queen of Vegas !!!!!
*their
Never scene or heard this before. This is great! I'm 52 now and my Poppy Joe when i was a kid would play his 78's for me. All of which i still have and listen to sometimes....
Keely Smith and the main man outstanding performances by them just hit off each other respect two legends 🎼🚀📻🎙️🙏🤝👏
One extra comment, for all of the jazz enthusiasts out there, this can also be classified as a jazz song, as well as rock pop or even easy listening.
The potential arrangements are endless.
This is a timeless and underappreciated classic.
Great trip down memory lane.
😅...i like "The Wildest" and the nice Keely...absolutely one kind this couple!
Thanx for posting👍
wonderful, awesome duo! Thanks.
Love how much fun they're having
I like how he breaks into the song
I love them.
Linda voz la de Keely, i like me very much!!
This is so crazy that Keely's losin' it!
People used to have fun.
❤
His idiotic style was amazing.
not a fan of this typical shtick....used by prima......it was actually disrespectful to the singing talent of Keely Smith....and belonged in the past
Yeah, as much as I enjoy the antics, I'm convinced her working with him kept people from appreciating her truly fine and distinctive voice as they would have. For example, she and June Christy and Peggy Lee were contemporaries, but the latter two are strongly remembered as outstanding popular singers of the time, while Keely Smith is not.
HA HA
I backed Keely on double bass when she guested with the Jive Aces on her last ever shows.. She would always talk very fondly of those times with Louis. It was part of the act. He gave her many solo performances during the shows and on record with out the antics. A fabulous voice and a very funny lady.
@@kensmith8546 so cool, thanks for that
@@kensmith8546 , glad to hear that. And I loved the act. But she was so good, I wish she'd made more recordings. And I wonder about her potential as a comic actress in movies? I judge that it would have been extremely strong.
