    Why does Cisco recommend to change vlan 1? I know you said security reasons but what exactly? And what would you change it to? Vlan2 or whatever number that is not 1?

      Typically it's a bad idea to ever use vlan1 because a wide variety of issues. Example being vlan 1 is layer3 and can enable web\ssh access. Vlan 1 on some switches can also have settings you actually can't see example a FS S3900 vlan 1 has rules in ACL you can't see from "show running-config"
