    Thank you for the recipe. I'm in Cyprus and I have never cooked Egusi before so I tried it yesterday and followed the instructions and it came out wonderful. I posted on my Snapchat and in less than an hour 8 of my friends came over and finished it... No one believes till now that I was the one that cooked it because it was amazing. Thank you so much!

    Thank you very much for this. I will normally spend 15 pounds thrice a week at a Nigerian restaurant just to enjoy egusi soup!! Now i have a whole pot of egusi soup sitting right in front of me and i marvel at how relatively easy it is to prepare!!! Nigerian mothers, please teach you sons how to cook, he will thank you later.

I love the fact it is not time consuming like some can be.. someone also asked what egusi is, it is grinded pumpkin seed. thanks for sharing this sisiYemmie

      ponmo = cowskin

    • @faithchuku2401
      @faithchuku2401 9 років тому

      The stock was made from the chicken. She must have boiled the chicken with water and spiced it with salt, pepper, onion and bouillon cube. The liquid you get from this is called the stock. The leave is called Ugu in Nigeria but in the UK I use Spinach. Ponmo is cow skin you can get it for an Asian meat shop or an African shop
