  • 0:11 Dad flies into the nest with a floppy fish delivery and Mom starts tea kettling as he lands it
0:25 On her way to the fish Mom backs off briefly when it does a big flop
0:51 and 1:00 Mom informs Dad that now that she is in charge of the fish he is welcome to leave the nest
1:03 Dad starts moseying towards the prey on the opposite side of the nest leaving Mom occupied with dealing with the floppy fish
1:10 When Mom briefly turns her head to see what he is up to Dad takes his focus off the prey and looks up to check out the scenery around the nest
1:19 Mom turns her head to watch Dad move a piece of grass covered prey
1:26 Mom jumps a little and pounces on the fish as it does a big flop while Dad watches
1:35 Dad makes a beeline for the prey while Mom is preoccupied with the fish
1:39 Mom glances over at Dad who is now pulling on the prey but remains with the fish
1:47 Dad feeds the first bite to D27, the second to D28 and the third to D27
2:18 Mom looks at Dad and tea kettles but he totally ignores her and keeps feeding while Mom keeps one eye on the fish and one on Dad
2:46 Mom goes over to the fish and moves it slightly
3:07 Mom moves next to Dad to tea kettle but he air snaps at her then ignores her and continues to feed
3:50 Mom heads back to the fish which is still moving
4:27 Mom stands on the fish using both feet
4:36 Mom pulls a bite from the fish and eats it
4:53 Mom pulls a bite and walks it over to D27 who briefly turns away from Dad to grab it then quickly grabs a bite from Dad
5:04 Mom grabs the fish and moves it closer to the nestlings
5:32 After eating a few bites herself Mom joins Dad in feeding by giving another bite to D27 who seems to be most interested in eating as he or she napped through the entire last feeding
10:37 D26 does a warble and waddles to the chow line
10:02 in the middle of offering a bite to D27 Dad looks up and focuses on something outside the nest so Mom feeds D27 bites
10:49 Mom joins Dad in watch duty
10:58 Mom turns to head to the skywalk
11:04 Mom hops up onto the skywalk and disappears out of view
11:23 Mom's wings can be briefly seen as she flies off the skywalk while Dad remains in watch mode
    11:24 D26 does a warble
11:47 D26 sits up tall and does another warble
12:20 D27 follows D26's example and sits up tall to do a warble
12:26 Dad walks over to the skywalk
    12:33 Dad scratches his face
12:51 Dad drags the fish that Mom was feeding from to a spot by the skywalk and starts eating it
13:06 D27 does a very tiny poop shoot
    13:54 Dad starts feeding D28
    13:58 D26 does a warble
14:18 Mom flies in with a piece of cornstalk and places it close to the middle of the nest
14:42 D26 leans forward which brings some of his or her pin feathers into view
15:27 Mom goes into watch mode while Dad continues to feed D28 then eats some bites himself
16:35 Dad joins Mom in watch mode
16:42 Dad starts emphatically telling a neighbor(s) to clear out of his air space while Mom remains silently in watch mode
17:48 a dark bird flies left starting about an eight of the way down from the top of the screen and about a quarter of the way in from the left
18:06 Dad scratches his face then resumes watch mode
19:03 Mom scratches her face, looks down at the nest then resumes watch mode
20:19 Dad resumes eating the fish and Mom looks at him before resuming watch mode
    20:38 Dad starts feeding D28
20:50 Mom takes a bite from Dad and feeds it to D28
    21:22 Mom resumes watch mode
21:34, 21:52 and 22:01 Mom takes a bite from Dad and feeds it to D28
    22:24 Mom resumes watch mode
22:41 Mom takes a bite from Dad and feeds it to D28
    22:43 Dad resumes watch mode
22:49 Mom joins Dad in watch mode
    22:55 D28 does a warble
23:00 Dad gives D28 a bite then resumes watch mode
23:16 D28 does a warble followed by poop shoot
23:36 Dad flies off the nest

Great vid. Dad comes in with the fish, mom says "Great fresh food", claims the fish, so dad goes over & feeds the kids with the old food, mom zips the fish & says "Hey, anybody want any of this fresh stuff" only 1 of the kids is really interested in feeding, so it just goes back & forth with who ever wants to give it food first. Mom finally says ok you're not too interested, I'll just eat some, then say "Ok, I'm not really hungary either" & goes to the branch. Dad looks confused like "Wait, no body's hungry", "Ok, I get to eat some", "Oh, wait, 28, wants some, Ok". Mom comes in with another fish, "Great, but we are good, ok, I can finish off this fish, wait, who is disturbing this scene, OK, all is good now, wait, 28 wants more food, Ok, mom wants to give it to him, OK, nobody cares, I'll eat some, wait, 28 wants some more, Oh, mom wants to give it to him, one more bite for 28, I guess I'm done, bye.
    LOL

Sometimes I get worried about that road, seems so close to the nest

The road, bike path, hatchery and farms all existed prior to Mom and Dad selecting their preferred nest location. This means that they could take as much time as they wished to approach and retreat from human activity at will to make a decision about whether normal area activity would pose any sort of threat. Mom, Dad and their young typically ignore these activities including horrible racket from the hatchery, road, mowing and tractors being used on the farms.
However, I have seen them react to people yelling or even talking that can be heard on the very sensitive cam microphone. Mom and Dad are also very displeased when reliable ground observers have reported other eagles in their territory nor do they tolerate owls near the nest. Dad usually doesn't even like small birds near the nest.

You are most welcome. :) However, most of the credit goes to the the Raptor Resource Project expertise and the generous nest cam viewers who donate to purchase all the great equipment.

Start #2 in the middle, #3 to his right and #1 pushed out to the left. #2 will, I can tell without even watching, will soon cut in from of #2 and start stealing his food, he will stand by and watch, try to get some,. and then wander off to play in the grass. #1 will probably grab a few and leave while #3 will stay and eat the entire remains. At 13:00 a new fish is in and #3 is right there to eat it alone, the others just hold off and watch. As I guessed, #3 dominates the food once again, eats most of 2 or 3 fish and is still begging for more when it's gone, watch her near the end of this vid. She take s dumb, then comes back looking for more food. Only females eat like that. Again, if #1 was a female, she'd be getting beat up and shown her place. Here, she's darn near close to taking over the nest. It's between her and #1 right now. #2 is in outer space. At 23:44 she is up with the adults and is wide awake and ready for more food. There must be something wrong with her to eat that much food. And this is just the start.

The Raptor Resource Project designations for the eaglets are D26, D27 and D28. Viewers have no way to which eagles you think are #1, #2 and #3. No eaglet is stealing food from another in this video. Eating styles are not deterministic of gender.
No eaglet dominates this nest nor are any eaglets being beaten up. Since hatch all the eaglets have shown every sign of thriving. There has never been anything unusual about any of their behavior nor appearance that would be cause for concern.
