Agree with Paris … very wise lady…. Children deserve energetic parents …. To keep up with them… having lost my beautiful mother very young I would not wish losing a beloved parent on anyone.

I have to agree with Paris on this one. Kids are not ‘accessories’ they are a lifelong commitment and require a lot of attention, time and dedication

I think it's ok if they can afford to hire young people to look after (and parent) their children.

Dolly didn't have a awful childhood, yes her family was poor but they were all loved! Dolly and her siblings grew up in happy home. Stop making Dolly out to be a childhood survivor. Its total b/s.

If it's your grandchild and the child's parents die I think the grandparents are good option to take them. But adopting a child you're not related to in your mid 70s is not ideal for the child. They want parents who can be there with them for as long as possible and have plenty of energy to participate in their life.

I only I would say - in the modern world childhood doesn’t finish at 20…I’m 27 in a good job (25k) but if I split from my bf for whatever reason I would have to move back in, it wouldn’t make sense money wise as I would be only able to save £200 a month
