Saturday Night Fever, Stayin’ Alive, on a Strat. Love it. Killer playing, killer guitar. And as usual you guys are a blast to watch. You represent Norms with humor, expertise and class. Great job.
Yes, an arrangement worthy of Chet Atkins.
Straturday is my favorite day of the week. What a sweet guitar. I love when Brandon does spec check and Lemmo’s great playing of course
Again a very beautiful Stratocaster...the wood grain ,the ginish..and in the right hands well need we say more.Keep up the good work Michael.
I've got one of those 50th Anniversary Strats built by Mark Kendrick. Bought it new back in 2004. My 50th birthday present to myself. Best Strat I've ever owned. Great playing Michael.
Good on you! My first guitar was a '54 my dad gave me for Christmas in 1963.
@@Tonetwisters The real deal! Wow! Still have it?
The best sound I've ever hear from a Stratocaster. Maybe Michael's playing had something to do with it.
I think Michael's playing ALWAYS has something to do with it!
Maybe!
It has everything to do with it!
Fantastic playing as usual. 👍 I really like the added value/history lesson provided by Brandon. Great teamwork. Of course thank you Jen for making them look so good. Keep ‘‘em coming. Love GOTD!
Somehow Lemmo makes even the Bee Gees cool again! Love the hybrid picking. That last song was incredible! You'd think that after all these years of Straturdays it would get old, but it does not! Keep up the great work.
Wow...what a good sounding guitar. That last song Michael did gave me chills. As always great work with the editing Jen, the spectacular knowledge (see what I did there?) from Brandon, and of course Michael's playing. Always worthy of my click, this show
The neck should be what is called a fat 50’s style on the 54 reissue model. It feels more like a full C shape. In 56 they started the soft V, 57 more prominent V shape, 58 had a softer V with a flatter rounder shape. Not to be a smart ___, but I ordered a 54 Custom Shop back in 2000 and that is the specs Fender Custom Shop told me.
Welcome back to your ‘Left Coast’ home ML…you killed it brother.
Professor Spec Check, love it when you hold class. Quarter sawed, baked lite and offset holes… followed with ‘just geometry… love it!
These songs is where Lemmo shines. Certainly a natural born Guitar Ringer.
Thank you for taking off your ring, well done.
Brandon, Michael & Fender all get an A+ for today’s GOTD.
These 54 CS 50th Anniversary Strats are the best sounding strats I’ve ever heard, I know… I bought mine new in 2004 , love it
Thanks for sharing Michael
Cheers
🎸
That sounded really really great together, the amp and that strat ☀️ superb!
Stayin’ alive was excellent as was it all. I recognize the Lemmo tone and that’s saying something ☮️
Michael, I loved that the first song you played on the Martin D-28 and The 54’ master-built custom shop reissue Fender Stratocaster was the same intricate song!
You showcased the character strengths of each guitar with your skillful finger style approach.
I was amazed by that Strat’s perfectly airy sound. Brandon, the history of the specs you share always increases my own knowledge and appreciation of the guitars you describe. Thank you all!
Mark Rafter
Jen, thanks for showing that Norm was in the house! Always good to see him!
What a great looking instrument. I am sure I can't afford it! Thanks for the video.
... he grew the trees ...
Brilliant! Cheers!
You guys seem to have so much fun there at Norm's...seems like a great place to work. It's on my Bucketlist to go there one day...you may see me..I live in Nova Scotia so it will be a long commute..anyway 1954 strats are some of my favorite and although this is a re-issue it is still so cool and sounds great... thanks guys and Jen!!! Have a great weekend!
Sound like stratocaster 👌🏻
Quarter sawn appears, the grain would be flat on a regular neck. Extremely nice Strat. Ash body?
Good made strat + Good strat player = Awesome guitar tones in excellence of the creation of the perfect American Fender Stratocaster. 💜
That first tune on the neck pick up, just brilliant.
Michael Lemmo, we missed you at the last videos, great performance !
I mean…..disco tune, blimey and a great fender shout out……..nailing it as always Michael 😎👍😎
What a beautiful guitar.
Leo certainly got it right in '54. He listened to what guitarists wanted, had the right people on his team and delivered.
A couple of other differences on the '54 Strat that I don't think were mentioned are the volume and tone knobs are a different shape with a shorter skirt and the shape of the pickup selector knob is a bit more rounded.
I love Strats and I love Stratoday.
Thanks Brandon, Mike and Jen.
Brandon is the reigning king of guitar knowledge!
Lemmo can make anything sound good. It has a rich tone, but needs 30 years to mature
It’s almost 20 years old already.
Hands down, bar none. Michael Lemmo is the most interesting guitar player around. That piece from the middle pickup
I could see that being used in the movie where the guy rescues the girl and it's bolting down the highway in his car finally gets into the clear headed into the sunset. Beautiful
Wow 1954 the year I was born! Beautiful guitar 🎸 sounds gritty like A 68 year old I’ve played drums sense 10 taught sense 16 but I know what kind of pickups are in A 59 Les Paul Standard and the difference in A Bigsby and A Floyd Rose but just learned that thing on the side of A snare drum is called A throw off 😂 great Videos Jen! You to Lemo
Outstanding!
Great Guitar, Perfect playing Michael 😱
Very beutiful 1954 fender stratocaster..very beutiful 2 tone sunburst finish..great sound..
Beautiful sounds... great playing as always
What a beautiful piece of art
Michael is improving, great playing
I love Straturdays! What a treat.
That was some exquisite playing, Mike dude...and that's a great sounding and looking guitar. Kudos.
I like the spec checks learn something every time go Brandon. Great
Job dream tm😊that hybrid picking Tasty
What a fantastic video michael and jen also Brandon have a good weekend
Whose song was the 1st one played? Lemmo that was freaking mesmerizingly beautiful....I've listened to it at least 5 times now... someone tell me
bravo Lemmo!
Great playing as ever!
There was a character named Art Esparza in the James Woods/Robert Downey Jr. film "True Believer". Coincidence?
Just love a straturday 🎸🎸
Really curious about that last song, what a tasteful ear worm!
That bridge pickup tho
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Beautiful guitar.love to own it. The best to everyone. Paul.
One of the best GOTD ever ! Lemmo makes it sound so sweet !
Ash body!
Straturday and TeleTuesday.🎸The 2 favourite day’s of the week....um.....unless you are a Gibson lover.
Absolutely beautiful!
You are great player Michael!
Beautiful tone!🎶🍀🌷🎶
Nice rendition of The Wall! 😉
First song? Its so familiar
Gorgeous strat
What tasty playing!
Awesome! Do you have more info on the pickups? which alnico magnets type, dc ohms and such things?
Awesome guitar! 👍🏻
Fantastic.
I LOVE IT! 😍
that sound🤍
What's that 1st song he plays guys?
What's the first song?
Spec check
I'm lucky to have a 54 Esparza 2004.....my prize possession
Stunning guitar maybe I'll mortgage my house to buy it. Nicest Strat EVER.
name of first song????????
great playing
What’s the name of the first song called???
Everything about this video was great that was some fine chicken picking Mick
Off the chain? hmmm...is Dusty Leigh dropping by tomorrow? we will have to see!
A reissued 54 Stratacaster It might just be me but a Little Rock and roll would have been nice
Michael es un monstruo, Michael podés tocar one these day , de pink floyd , estoy seguro que le vas hacer justicia 👍
does anyone know what Michael is playing at 7:30?
what’s the first tune you played please ?
🙏
Good Day, what price ??
I never had problems with that radius...but the tiny frets kill me
What's the tune from 12:06? One of Lemmo's loop Jams?
What was the last song?
It reminds me of a 54 strat
🎯
whats the name of the last song?
The neck looks rift sawn to me, because the grain isn't as tight as quarter sawn. Hard to tell!
This Spec check is wearing on me. I like when Brandon plays, but I don’t care about the radius of a reissue. Give Lemmo the guitar and play it.
Am I only one that scrolls past Spec Check? Surely as guitarists we know most of this info.🤔
Appreciate the balance of that guitar. Would probably put the five way switch in (a lot collectors might not like this, but possibly some high end pickups, copper foil, twisted wires) Get the in-between sounds. Good example of a modern vintage quality build. That will be a great guitar 20 years down the once the wood starts aging. Sort of hard to hear the full range of that guitar because he is palm muting the low strings. But it sounds good
👍🔥🎸🦅
And on the Seventh day, God created Straturday.
Fantastic playing, Lemmo!
BRUNDON
Sorry to say but it’s not a Thermometer case. This case called a Poodle case. ✌🏼
What’s the name of the first song Michael played?
Tom petty and the heartbreakers - swingin
I have a 56 CS relic and the pickups are weaker compared to modern day strats. They sound great just not hot.
Lemmo carries solo electric guitar as good as anyone. So hard to do well.
Reissue has always been a lot more appealing to me than classic vintage. Vintage is way overpriced. If I wanted a traditional style Stratocaster, I think I would choose one like this.
Here's one thing that's always baffled me. Have researchers and Developers created better methods of eliminating the attention created by the string retainer? I've been taught to believe the retainer does more harm than good.
That is because most idiots screw it down way too far. WAY too far.
Fascinating, @@lesbianmustardbottle957.
Lemmo needs a master barber!
Lemmo needs to move on from NRG. Go tour with a band.
@@billa7606 He does play gigs with his band!
@@billa7606 Yes, Lemmo is one of a kind--he has the spark that great guitar players have.
Lemmo keeps playing like that, he can wear his hair however he wants!
