Hi Mei Kuee! Thanks for your comment and question! 😊 We drove around Greece in May, but from what locals told us, driving in the Greek islands, like Santorini, during September and October is a great experience! It's a wonderful time to visit as roads are less crowded, and the weather is mild, usually between 20-25°C (68-77°F). You can always check one of the locals Weather Network such as the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (HNMS) to confirm the weather before your trip. Just watch out for occasional rain and note that some services may have limited hours. Cheers and Safe road trip! 🚗🇬🇷🤗
I've driven on the Greek islands plenty of times, in October in particular, and the roads are usually pretty quiet because the tourist season is coming to the end, but the main towns of the islands can still be fairly busy on the bigger islands like Rhodes town on Rhodes with the local people going about their business, and don't forget your sunglasses 😎 🇬🇷
@@christopherward9230 Thank you, Christopher, for your helpful input and for contributing to the community and our channel! 😊 We can imagine how beautiful it must be to drive on the Greek roads in October-it sounds like such a lovely time to visit with quieter roads but still vibrant towns like Rhodes. We’re definitely inspired to plan a trip to Greece during the end of September to October on our next opportunity! Wishing you safe and happy travels! 😎 🇬🇷
@DiscoveringDestinations Thanks for your reply. We usually go to Rhodes at least once a year, and it's either May which is very nice and before the crowds and really hot weather, or October, when it's quieter and the temperatures are just right, and charges us up for the winter months in the UK. We tend to stay at the bottom half of the island, around Lindos and Pefkos which is just below Lindos. The roads are pretty good throughout the island, so you can do a full circuit or crisscross the island. We have done most of the popular islands and this year we did Naxos in June and Rhodes in October, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask, and we'll help you if we can. Take care 🇬🇷😎
