The designer of the second one, the Ignio, is Toni Tietzel from Germany. He does awesome custom fixedblades and is the master of compound grinds. He did a few collabs before this one, but here his design language really shines through. The „semi integral“ construction, the weird but very usable grind, the fact that it’s all held together by the pivot plus the clip screw… he did a knife under his own brand recently (tnt-knives), the Big Bang, which was oem‘d by WE.
Dang... I was going to pick on up... no rear lanyard bar. a hidden bar would have been way cool. Even a lanyard hole would have drew me in... huge fan of the flamed ti (tiger stripe)
I got my High-Fin XL a few days ago, it's a keeper and I love it. HOWEVER, the detent was waaaay too heavy out of the box. Even though the closing action was smooth like yours, opening it was physically painful and my thumb would frequently just scrape off the stud. Only after a) fully disassembling it and adjusting the lock bar tension, and b) several days of working it open and closed (glad I'm on vacation and have time on my hands) has it worked itself out. It was only a problem opening with my right-hand thumb; spydie-flicking it or opening it left-handed wasn't problematic at all., so I feel like the small amount of lateral force from my thumb in the direction of detent ball was making a fair amount of difference in the force required to overcome the detent. Having said that, now it feels fantastic. I may or may not increase the lock-bar tension again as I do like how it had a more controlled drop, but it also closes insanely smoothly and makes a great sound. My only other criticism is that, while they dispensed with the chamfer around the pivot (which makes sense because the larger counter diameter rendered it unnecessary), they could have done a little more to knock down the edges of the diamond texture around it. The version I got is the blurple with bronze accents, and it is *so* pretty. I really wish WE would do a blurple finish more often, because it's downright mesmerizing.
Thank you for this unboxing. Was debating on which XL version to get. Everyone was covering either the blue or gold one, I needed to see if they used the same blade finish as the OG (which you unboxed and I watched numerous times), Thanks again MC!!
Speaking of the blade steel, I really wish that We knife would experiment with different materials other than 20cv. I feel like it would really help build enthusiasm over these new releases. Even old releases for that matter. I'd love to see a We Vision R in S90V! Just my two cents
Hey MC - love the channel, always watching… just wondered why choose a leather ‘title tag’ when the it could so easily be etched metal ? …. Best wishes for 2025 .
One day ill get me a cool ass we knife. If this one here was a button lock or a shark type lock like the vision... one day... thats what i keep telling myself..
Idk why, but the High Fin XL is giving me Roxy 3 vibes for some reason. I wish WE Knives were made anywhere else in the world other than China. They have a lot of designs I really like, but I just can't bring myself to buy any.

@2:30 they listened, and I'm stoked. And that pocket clip for the extra touch.
Great call MC
Both of those are really cool! I really love how excited WE gets about wild design ideas. They’re just having fun. Huge fan.

The blurple and gold versions are stunning. This one is on my list.
I really like that they put your logo on that knife. That's so cool.
Reminds me of the custom stitches with that fin shape on the back of the blade. Pretty cool.

I am rocking the Ignio for edc most of my time and it is fantastic and excells especially in the kitchen. For the high fin i do prefer the OG version.
I've seen this Igneo blade shape before, fairly unique and beautiful. Thanks
I would call that a harpoonCliffe blade
Beautiful knives. The second blade looks like a kiridashi/tanto/sheepsfoot hybrid )) Very unusual.

They (We knife) are coming out with a new one this month in s45vn if I'm not miataken.
Gavko designs just always do it for me. WE executed this beautifully. Love it.
Love the High Fin XL 🔥Pretty wicked looking design
The scales on both are glorious!!!!
The Damasteel version is ridiculous…super cool!
Thanks
You should ask We about the nightblade. I'm intrigued to say the least.
You know they are watching! 🎄🎁
I like both of those, pretty cool
A wrapping job like that should only be undone with a white-glove custom knife that costs at least $5,000.
I'm curious, what do you think of the redemption?
Thanks for your thoughts

Thumb stud not resting on the cutout when it’s opened
Im a sucker for blue titanium 😮 and that blade shape is definitely interesting? Amazing video as always!!
Blade is a no go
Go for it! Blade is a very positive surprise when it comes to different edc applications.
@ it’s definitely on my list! 😊👍
Great video man 👍
They ought to make a knife called the Inigo as in Inigo Montoya🤣
I get confused between warncliff and sheep's foot. One's flat and one has a belly right.
Wish they made the XL version a bit more interesting. Im over plain Ti knives at this point
9.3 on the slap

That blue one looks like a decent hunting folder
It looks like a caveman mafe it for hunting...nice design....although handle should be natural material.
❤❤❤
idk man it looks like WE wants to make a knife with you! they started using vanax and now they put your logo on a knife
They definitely wanted to. There are lots of companies who wanted to make a knife with me.
I chose Kunwu.
@metal_complex i defaintly cant blame you there especially with there exotic inventory of steels and textured titanium it seems sky's the limit
I don’t like the goofy blade. No thumb notches ever
Mystery meat
Both are ugly IMO
Opinions are like a$$holes…everyone has one and they usually stink. Your opinion stinks. 😂
I don't really care for the looks of either blade! Like the handle profiles though! 🤔🫤
