    Started a few years ago as a pop-up and is now the first and only cevicheria in Amsterdam in the middle of the Pijp. As a cevicheria, Sjefietshe does look beyond Amsterdam, while not forgetting the South American roots of the dish. They use a wide variety of corn and authentic ingredients from South America to bring out the flavors. They also have some unique dishes like the Thai Ceviche made with ‘leche di tigre’, which shows the global popularity of the ceviche dish. The Sjefietshe team also looks further than just the dish ceviche, and you can also visit for other fish dishes. Sjefietshe is also a wonderful place for events and to dine with a larger group. On certain evenings, you can even have Sjefietshe all to yourself. Their warm and friendly service, cozy yet fun ambience, and, of course, delicious food make Sjefietshe a must-visit spot.
