Not sure if it's excitement to be back after COVID or just that BYU is doing well against P5 teams, but yeah, the stadium has been rocking. I love seeing the replays and the camera is shaking when zoomed in because of the crowd.
I was at the Utah game, had to miss this one. But man, this highlight reel sure made me feel like I was there. The crowd was NUTS. Imo they made the highlights themselves, the plays were just icing on the cake. That noise was just incredible. Looked like a great game
Great showing for BYU! The crowd made a huge difference. Tyler Allgeier was definitely the player of the game. Although, Romney and Rex balled out too.
For the first time in the season, I've seen BYU using their TEs. They have some of the best in the country. ASU needed this game to prepare for the Pac12 title--still in it to win!
They not that good tho. Clearly not a better team than ASU talent wise. ASU just played insanely undisciplined and lost that game themselves. BYU took advantage of ASU shooting themselves in the foot constantly
@@vontazebuckshanks6356 you're right, talent wise ASU won, also ASU has a ton of players that have been playing together for 5/6 years. However, with the help of the crowd noise BYU closed the talent gap and THEY overcame the experience and cohesiveness of the ASU team. BYU might not be as talented but they're still a dang good team to overcome those things...... The road will tell us a lot about them. ASU is very talented with some huge strong dudes
Watch a press briefing from Coach Sitake. He is all about discipline. After last weeks game against U of U he was disappointed in the two late hits and the personal foul because he expects his players to play clean and penalties lose games. He hasn’t had the same talent pool for recruiting as a non P5 team (so excited for big12 now) but he knows how to get them to play physical, focuses on discipline, has depth, and trusts his staff. In this case that made the better team.
Listening to the announcers you’d think BYU was a high school team that accidentally won. Hey ESPN, your bias is showing again. Did you ever think that maybe BYU actually has some skills and that’s why they beat two top 20 teams back to back?
Well its 2 weeks in a row of them beating teams expected to beat them. 2 teams also more talent which doesn't mean better but still. Nobody would have thought byu would start 3-0 thats why they are surprised
Even BYU fans are surprised that we're 3-0 right now. ESPN is actually really good to BYU. We are actually coming out of Independence stronger than we went in. This is in no small part due to awesome coverage on ESPN, and games and bowls that ESPN helped to schedule. All of that helps with brand recognition and recruiting.
Embarrassing performance and saying undisciplined is being kind….I am not sure why ASU let the OC go 2 years ago, the last thing I remember in 2019, the Sun Devils were throwing Bombs on Oregon’s defense. The offense seemed much more explosive with less penalties in 2019. On a side note, Wilson can not catch.
Might not be a fair comparison. The 2019 team would have been fully in the CFB cycle. This 2021 team had a shortened season in 2020, limited spring/fall camps, and now has less cohesion. As an independent BYU played a full 12 game schedule last year and had full camps. I'd give your coaching staff another year before I got on them too much for lack of discipline and cohesion.

I’m a BYU fan but this was definitely Arizona’s game to lose - and they did. Little more development and discipline and this would have gone almost exactly the other way.
ASU has a plethora of penalties averaging 16 per game this year, bad mental coaching, undisciplined players across the board. They lost...period. Excusing bad behavior is pathetic " if " they did this or that... bottom line... they didn't.
I don't disagree that Arizona shot themselves in the foot (repeatedly), but I can't agree that it was their game to lose. BYU left points on the field and made plenty of their own mistakes: missed assignments, stupid QB plays, lazy tackling, etc. Both teams can play better, but BYU just made more plays and recovered from their mistakes. That's what it's all about.
I don't care about your trolling enough to check the TV numbers for the game, but I can tell you that over 60,000 people cared enough to pay for tickets and spend their saturday evening at the game. The stadium was rocking.
sheesh Allgeier went nuts on that guy
he really did though go byu!!!!!!!
@kobe nards that is facts go cougs!!!
@steph curry please no swearing here
no byu plays no bad team they are s word and all around bad
@steph curry stop please you know that they are good
BYU is for real and the Allgeier track down strip… WOW just WOW!
@E Ardlow L take
Robertson stepped out before the ball was stripped. Missed calls all night by the officials.
@@blakefarnsworth7491 seen dozens of replays and it’s crystal clear, He NEVER stepped out.
Yea he never stepped out...but I agree Pac 12 refs suck....BYU has been getting hosed by them for years
@@rdancranston Maybe that’s why they’re going to the Big 12 and not the pac 12

@@jonbitter395 Agreed. That type of play sets the tone for the rest of the season
Allgeier is a DAWG!! Talk about a game changing moment, he made that FF count!
Just got home from this game. I have no voice. THIS CROWD WAS ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!
BYU has some of the most passionate fans in football, Big 12 was insanely smart to add them

When ASU had like 4 to 5 false starts in a series... You "almost" started to feel bad how loud the stadium was for ASU.... Almost. :P

I’m just here because I was at the game and I’ll probably lose my voice tomorrow, but I loved all those false starts 😁
hot lemonade straight up. fix a hoarse voice from yelling in a half hour :)
I love the triple pass play!!!
Cougs better get some respect in these next rankings
Should be at least #14. Other than Bama idk who has a better resume. 3-0 against 3 P5 teams with 2 of them ranked wins.
They not that good tho. Clearly not a better team than ASU talent wise. ASU just played insanely undisciplined and lost that game themselves. BYU took advantage of ASU shooting themselves in the foot constantly

New Big 12 > ACC
Good job BYU
I thought the PAC-12 was back? Oregon might be the only ranked team now
Week 5 and ASU is looking good, which means BYU is for real. If Cincinnati and BYU go undefeated, who should go to the playoffs?

Gotta do something about the BYU stadium camera quality.
Pretty sure that those are ESPN crews and cameras.
All the four corner schools are reunited aside from New Mexico schools

Well done COUGARS! 🤙🏻
Wow! Pac 12 didnt seem to want. to except BYU.. Well then Cougs will just beat them. All 3 this year then
Right now, the only things about BYU that need fixing are the rushing defense and the stadium cameras
why has the camera quality been so bad this year...
I was there greatest play ever
Man between UCLA and Arizona state 🤦🏼♂️. Come on PAC 12 get it together
Fresno is really good. UCLA is still solid
Just like I thought, Arizona State is not good at all.
