I think the character in video is likely a male because the "character" uses "boku wa" , which is "me" but used by males in Japan, in the lyrics.
@@somewhatblankpaper1423 there are a lot of girls who use "boku" though, at least enough for it to be a Recognized Thing
also, ime44 isnt a native japanese speaker so theres maybe a chance it was unintentional
boku is used a lot in songs, and while in real life it’s more masculine, in songs it’s kinda neutral

and that's something that is obviously indicative of the composer's own strengths, but actually maintaining it and still refining aspects of the song (e.g: the texture and instrumentation) definitely is not an easy feat (can say as a previous music student)
