- Me and Simon are joined on this one with Dai from Camp-N-Wild With The Dragon, we start off by Hay Bluff and the village of Crickadarn`the actual filming locations of the cult 80's movie An American Werewolf In London, we then take a hike up to the summit 0f Twmpa (Lord Hereford's Knob) before dropping down the other side into a small valley to setup camp in a place where we think is almost the perfect location, it had a water source and fairly level ground to pitch our tents, you can't ask for more than that :-)
We gave a shout out on this video to Mark from Hunting and Camping Wales, so give him a subscribe and check out his channel just copy and paste the link below, thanks for reading.

I just watched American Werewolf in London last night (not very Christmassy, I know) and thought, I wonder if anyone has incorporated these locations into a walk. Great upload, and a great film. Memories of watching late at night when I was eight and not being able to sleep for weeks.
Hi Trev, glad you enjoyed the video and American Werewolf is a great film and we don’t live too far from those filming locations which is awesome, thanks again Mark & Simon 👌👍
Very interesting place. Greetings and thanks for sharing. Have a good day. 👍

I love what you fellas do. The context/framing of the region at the beginning of the episode was much appreciated.
It was great to see Dai! His suggestions on Camp-N-Wild With The Dragon actually sent me over to your channel in the first place!
What a great location for camp, nice and tucked-and you were eating hearty! Don't know what's better, the location or the food!
I’ll make sure I thank Dai for the recommendations 😁seriously though thanks for watching and stay tuned for more videos from Wales 🏴👌👌👍
Hi Mark, Simon looked like a bit of a trek. A very grand location, appearing to offer some shelter and also that invaluable water source.
A very relaxing video, it chilled me out and the aerial photography enhanced the viewing experience.
Autumn is now with us, which will make things more interesting. I look forward to your next outing👍 atb Taff 🤠
Hi mate glad you enjoyed it comments like this make it all worthwhile really appreciate it, we can’t wait for the next one cheers Mark 👍
Fabulous camping spot there boys, really the best. Got to admit, hot pepperami is 24/7 heaven, just like big Mandy from Tonypandy, hot and easy to peel. (Allegedly). Might seek out one of those Stagg chilli's, if I can find one here in Aberhippie. Greets from tropical Mid Wales 🙄
welshboyoo7 thanks for watching mate 👍 I know a randy Mandy from Tonypandy 🤣🤣 peperami’s are our staple diet, that camp spot is awesome 👍 ATB mate 👍
Beautiful place!
Thanks for watching Martin, its a great camp spot
I was well impressed when I spotted that film location on your instagram, cheers for the info much appreciated 🍻🍻
No worries mate 👍
Black Hill (640m) is further to the right, not as prominent on its own (I'm not entirely sure it should be visible from Twmpa, 690m). I think you were referring to Twyn Lech (704m) which is actually higher than Hay Bluff (677m) and barely a walk from it.
Our bad, we don’t always get it right 👍 I can’t remember if I said I think it’s Black Hill I haven’t watched the video for a while but thanks for telling us and thanks for watching the video 👍
The Berghauss 3.1 is very similar to my OEX Bobcat.. cracking tents 🍻
I got the Berghaus 3.3 peak pro really good tents berghaus 👍
Been looking at Haybluff for a while now! That location you pitched looks spot on!
Another great vid as usual lads 👍🏻 🏴
Cheers mate really appreciate it if you would like directions to it message me 👍
How cool! 👍
kidda74 thanks for watching and commenting on the Vid 👍
The Ol Stag Chilli.. thats a camping essential 👌
I do like spicy food 🥘
That’s a brilliant location, I will definitely be trying that out over winter at some point
We will defo be back it will just be our secret place mate 😄
Twin Peaks Wild Camping yes mate, I stored it to my os maps app, I was going to camp next friday near Penn y fann or corn du but after seeing a video of this weekend someone counted ten tents there.. so I’m either going to motorcycle camp near hay bluff car park or maybe this spot with my new tarp and bivvy.. unless I come up with something new.. I did Garway hill last time out so need somewhere new really for a video lol..
If I stumble across a gem like this though I will return the favour let you know 🍻
Bulldog Badger cheers buddy 😁
Just watching now buddy 👍🔥
Cheers Mate 👍
@@Twin_Peaks_Outdoors excellent video lads lovely spot and that little stream running threw it put the topping on the cake👍👍👍
MOOSTER OUTDOORS cheers mate it was a lovely spot fair play👍😁
Lovely video again!
How do you find that Mountain Equipment jacket? I'm looking into getting one or the Rab Neutrino. Does it keep you proper toasty?
Cheers mate, never had a Rab down jacket but the Mountain Equipment Lightline jackets we have are excellent used them in -7 in the snow and as long as you have a base layer two underneath then you will be fine 👌👍
Thanks for that. Good to hear a local Cardiff accent too. I'm checking out some of your wild camping sites to see where I can escape to. This one near Twmpa looks spot on!
@@lloydcozens9346 Hi Lloyd are you from the Diff? That camp spot is awesome we are defo gonna head back up there one day soon, try it out you will love it up there Thanks for watching ATB Mark 👌👍
Yeah near Whitchurch/Llandaf North.
It looks lovely by there. Will get out soon in the new year I hope!
Keep the videos coming :-)
@@lloydcozens9346 I’m in Whitchurch as well mate lookout for the yellow VW camper on your travels 😁👍👌
