Fronting British hardcore punk for more than a decade, singer and tattoo artist Frank Carter left an indelible mark on the scene. After breaking out with Watford band "Gallows", Carter moved onto the more feel-good pop project "Pure Love" featuring American guitarist and author Jim Carroll. He's since returned to his brutal roots with "Frank Carter and the Rattlesnakes". He joins us on Encore to talk about the band's latest record "Modern Ruin".

Amazing how different Frank the singer is from Frank the person and father. Goes from high energy and brutal to wholesome and really well spoken. What a guy.
This actually makes perfect sense. When they sing in this brutal high energy way they pretty much discharge all the anger they have inside of them. Once that goes away, there's no more reason to feel frustrated most of the time, which is why they appear calm and clear in interviews.
If you don't believe me, you can try it.
