Nice repair, looks like it’ll hold just fine! JB is some miraculous stuff!
Good video Harvey. Very informative and the screen idea is awesome.
nice, i like how u used the aluminium and reinforced it with wire👍
Been looking for this video, thought you already made. Thank you. Wanted to see your process.
Harvey my friend in weld also makes a putty for metals and plastics it's in a tube two part but you brake off what you need rub it in your hands it warms as its activated very easy to form and better yet once cured you can file drill tap I have used many times on engines never had any problems hold great just to say good luck keep up the great video friend
Thank you for this video just bought a 300 prairie and case has a hole in it so hopefully I can get it fixed before hunting season starts
Nice repair👍👏
Never tried the jb weld before heard about it but never tried it. Good repair I think if it was rubbed back bit paint no one will ever know.
Very nice fix I think I would do the differential the same way the one you traded
Harbor freight aluminum braze or weld whatever they call it you can build it up to fill good size holes been using it on the aluminum boat
I've used on auto timing cases both steel and aluminum cycle engine side covers lots of places has never failed me
That should work fine. We would use "Quicksteel" to fix similar problems. Those cast pieces are very brital. The repair will probably out last the bike now. There is enough info in this video for others to be able to make repairs to their machines. 👍👍
looks nice
Hey Harvey how’s it going? it has been a while Once again you saved my neck I am going to try this on my 1989 Honda recon ( Broke a bolt) need to fill the hole. Drill it then tap it. Never tried JB weld but it’s worth a shot
l am facing a similar damages on a Polaris balancer casing. l would fill the missing part by alum brazing rod casting that make this area much stronger than original casing.
Have u ever tried the two part epoxy stick
Is it still holding Harvey? Thank you for an answer.
My 69 mopar 440 dripped coolant one day... from the foot long jb weld patch on the block :(
JB is not suitable for structural repairs, but great for less stressful repairs.
Hey Harvey I had my old 200sx throw the chain yesterday it took out the case and it’s leaking oil. Can oil inside your stator cover cut out your spark? Do you have any advice on a permanent repair? If so please reply thank you! This atv is pretty much mint other than this new issue
Harvey, do you have a 1984 200es big red rear axle you could sell me, or let me know where I can get one? I heard a trx honda 200 4 wheeler can be used...is it true?
Is it still holding?
Should do the trick.
JB weld smells good, but it just doesn't cut it.
how much is a new case?
Friend spell check bit me it's jb weld putty think you will love the stuff you don't have the running of liquid you just clean surface I like to decrease then use rubbing alcohol sticks great has great working time to form it with fingers or wood holds great when cured
This isn’t a repair
I don't like this type of repair
Nice Job!!! J b weld, next sponsor? That stuff is great.maybe if you had any left over you could patch that saw cut in your work table.....lol
