Wow amazing lesson. African languages are beautiful and interconnected ❤. Am teaching simple lessons and similarities between our languages over in my space. Soon I will drop a video on Zulu language, we are indeed one people!
You are welcome, the more the merrier. We need to spread this in order for our people to know we were once one and we should unite once again.
@@kintuslounge253 that's right!
As a child, we left Uganda and went to live in Zambia. I learnt Chinyanja within a month, with my knowledge Luganda.
And Nyanja's primary foundation is Nguni same as the Zulu language.
@@Vico649 you are living example of how easy we can learn each other's language
Now I know that we're all one people. I am a Nyankole from from Western Uganda and we use the same words as mentioned here. Your work has shown that Bantu people are the same
Thank you for your comment. We are really one.
Interesting indeed. Am a Zulu on South Africa KwaZulu-Natal province and yes very many similarities indeed. Though your pronouncing them not quite right.
I will definitely come over to Uganda with my kids soon to trace our ancestry there. Am interested in knowing your surnames as well; what’s your famous or big clan names there; please share cos in isiZulu we keep clan names dating back hundreds of years in our clan praises which often help to trace back who was the oldest known family ancestor; I.e clan head/founder.
Sadly banyankole mistreat Baganda yet they are brothers.. I am muganda but we are called mugasha Which is mukasa and bushagara and many other western names.. but Uganda is separated so much by tribalism

Thank you very much for this!!!
This is the closest language compared to Luhya
Luganda is spoken in all major urban areas
Hello Bongani, that is why l always say that you comment or share. You might want me not to mention Zulu in my topics, but you do not speak for all the Zulus. Some Zulu commentators do appreciate my work and my aim is to show similarities among us the Bantus which goes beyond language. We are here to learn and l already now know that the Zulus are part of the Ngunis and it's actually the Xhosa who say Tata, but for you to take that attitude, it's not going to take us far as a people.

@@kintuslounge253 it's funny how clear it is that in order for Africa to have a chance in this world is to unite we as Africans still don't wanna do that' and it's not even going to be difficult coz we are already the same and most of our languages are similar.
I am telling you...I feel the same. Now I want to visit Uganda
Thank you my sister for bringing this topic up. I heard from one young Ugandan UA-camrs that a certain language in Uganda shares similarities with isiZulu. I'm must emphasise that isiZulu is one of 4 Nguni languages which consist 1 IsiZulu 2 IsiXhosa 3 IsiSwati and 4 Isindebele.
Almost all these words you've listed are represented in all these 4 dialects and it's very easy to converse among these 4 groups due to their similarities. So I would advise that you may refer to your country language that it shares similarities with the abenguni The Ngunis instead of isizulu alone cause I'm a xhosa speaker by origin and I have picked a lot of IsiXhosa in the list of words you made.
I hope I make sense and best of luck with your channel. I wish all the best of success. Love from Port st Johns, Eastern Cape, SouthAfrica.

Thank you for liking. I am glad you learnt something. Peace and blessings.
You have done a wonderful job my sister, and your work is an eye opener to all Nguni people of Southern Africa, and Zulu ppl in particular. In SA we have about 15 mllion people who speak Zulu as their first language, and there is another 20 million who can communicate in Zulu, infact Zulu language is understood in every corner of SA.
I have realised that people who are originally from Congo, UGanda, Malawi, Kenya etc they learn Zulu in no time when they come to SA, and this explains why!

I can also relate some words in zigua from Tanzania
This is actually what happened: people who formed Kenya migrated from Ethiopia, people who formed Uganda migrated from Kenya (80%) and West Africa (20%), people who formed Rwanda migrated from Uganda, and people who formed Burundi migrated from Rwanda. All of these communities with few other communities from West Africa entered South Africa around 2000 BC. This is even why Zulu Dances have a lot of similarities with Nkole/Rwanda/Burundi dances.
That's a detailed account of the Bantu migration l was not aware of. Thank you
Not true
@@kemigishabwongyererwa4917 What is your version?
Thank you for your input.
Not true...Bantu migration started at the border between Nigeria and Cameroon and we spread to the entire Central Africa during iron age as we were able to clear rainforests for cultivation and displacing pygmy populations...Other Bantu groups like Kikuyu, Meru spread to East Africa (modern day Kenya), Tanzania and Uganda while Bantu groups like the Zulus, Xhosas, Shona, Basotho, Batswana and many ethnic groups in Zambia, Malawi migrated from Central Africa (likely from modern day Democratic Republic of Congo) into Southern Africa around 1500-2000 years ago...We didn't migrate from Ethiopia...We come from Central Africa

Thank you for your comment. Thank you for educating me on the lsizulu. I also want to confirm,Baganda is one of the Bantu tribes in Uganda.. We also have Basoga, batoro, bagishu, banyakole, banyoro, bakiga to name but a few. The similarities between Baganda and Isuzulu continues with these tribes. For example l have heard the word Didu in Isuzulu which is also used by the Basoga refering to the Almighty . I don't know if that's the right spelling. Correct if l am wrong. The word kubona is to see in Lusoga which l have heard again in Isuzulu. So we the Bantu we are connected beyond even language.
